Milk normalized, what is it?

In infancy, we all drink milk. And no one doubts that it (especially the mother's) is useful and necessary for every child. Becoming adults, we often forget about the benefits of this product, less and less often we begin to use it.

Some refuse it because the most commonly found is "normalized milk". Not knowing what it is, you doubt: "Is it worth buying and using this product? Is it natural or is it useful?" This is most often the reason that the purchased milk is afraid to give to young children.

What does normalized milk mean?

On packages of milk or other dairy products you can read: "Used milk is normalized." What it is and how it is received, very few people know. Many adhere to the erroneous opinion that such milk is obtained from milk powder, which does not contain the initial amount of vitamins. In fact, this is far from the case. You do not need to think about seeing on the label "Normalized milk" that it is unsuitable for use. When milk is supplied to the enterprise as raw material for processing, it is completely degreased, that is, the products are separated (with zero fat content) and cream. Proceeding from the fact that in the future milk of different fat content is used for the production of sour cream, cottage cheese and other products, the process of its normalization occurs: by adding the right amount of cream to skim milk , a certain percentage of the fat content of the product is achieved.

Where is normalized milk used?

For the production of any products in the dairy industry, with the exception of absolutely fat-free cottage cheese, normalized milk is used. What this - we already know: the term means that a certain percentage of the fat content in the product has been achieved by processing. Milk can be normalized by standard measures of fat content or by the manufacturer's own, if necessary. Yoghurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, cream, processed cheese or smoked products are all products from normalized milk. They are not only absolutely harmless, but, on the contrary, are quite useful. In addition, this process is nothing more than just one of the stages of processing raw materials.

How useful is normalized milk?

Pasteurized normalized milk can be sold in stores as the actual beverage itself or be a component of other products. In any case, it is quite useful for people of any age. It contains the necessary calcium for the body, phosphorus, potassium, B vitamins, vitamin H and other useful substances. There is nothing terrible and dangerous in that the milk is normalized. What does it mean? This means only one thing: during the pasteurization of milk and its normalization, only harmful microorganisms that are in its composition are killed, while vitamins and other useful components remain. They are preserved in the process of production of any dairy products. The conclusion is unequivocal: normalized milk is useful! Do not be afraid to use it, on the contrary, it is recommended to maintain health.
