Metro "Tushino" - an important transport interchange in Moscow

One of the intermediate stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line of the Moscow metro is the Tushino metro station, which is located in the north-west of Moscow. The station was opened at the Oktyabrskoye Pole station - Planernaya station at the end of 1975.

Section 1. Metro "Tushino". Location

The name of this station was given in honor of the district, which had the same name until 1991. After, according to the decision of the Moscow Administration, it was divided and became part of three other districts. It should be noted that the originally historical part of Tushinsky has now become part of the Pokrovskoye-Stershnevo area.

The metro station "Tushino" is located in this area. By the way, here such a reduced form in the name of "Tushinskaya" has not been formally accepted so far. Even strange, because the proposal was submitted to the relevant authorities for consideration in the very beginning of the 90s. XX century, however, up to the present day has not yet been considered.

Section 2. Metro "Tushino". Decor

The project of the station was designed by the architects I. Petukhova and V. Kachurinets. Tunnels and halls are at a depth of 10.5 m. The frame of the room is made up of prefabricated structures.

The walls at this station are decorated with marble, which has a light shade. Black granite is used for the lining of the plinth . The walls are decorated with glass crystal ornament. Two rows of columns, lined with gray-blue marble, support a three-span arch. On the floor there are granite slabs of gray and brown colors.

Technological doors are decorated with aluminum panels. They are images of gliders, helicopters, fighters and long-range aircraft.

Section 3. Metro "Tushino". Interesting details

The station has 2 underground vestibules. If you walk along the southern vestibule, you can go to Tushinskaya Street, Stratonavtov Pass and Volokolamskoe Highway. The northern vestibule connects with the underground passage and allows to pass to the Tushino platform, located on the Riga direction of the Moscow railway. This station is very congested. Its services are used by residents of Krasnogorsk and Kurkino. Also, residents of Zelenograd and Khimki can reach this station.

"Tushino" (Moscow) - the metro, next to which is a beautiful corner of the Russian capital. Here is a wonderful park (Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo). This area has a developed infrastructure. A large number of kindergartens, schools, cafes and restaurants, shops where you can buy food and manufactured goods, a medical center, pharmacies and dental clinics, an animal clinic - all these institutions are also located nearby.
