Medical preparation "Furagin": instructions for use and general description

Diseases of the urinary tract cause considerable suffering to patients. To combat them, medicine uses various antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs. In this publication we will talk about the antimicrobial drug "Furagin". Instructions for use can be used by readers as a general source of information about a medicinal product. The importance of expanding the horizon is difficult to overestimate. What is Furagin?

The instructions for use refer to the preparation for synthetic drugs, the active ingredient of which is furazidine. The antibiotic is active against both groups (gram-negative and gram-positive) bacteria, it has an effect more pronounced than that of the substances of the nitrofuran series.

The drug "Furganin" is prescribed to patients by a doctor in tableted form. A solution is also used, for its preparation the tablets are dissolved in pure water. Take the pills in accordance with the directions in the recipe, wash down with water.

Indication for the drug "Furagin"

Instructions for use as diseases and conditions in which the use of the drug is recommended, calls:

  • Pyelonephritis;
  • Cystitis;
  • Urethritis;
  • Other inflammatory and microbial diseases of the genitourinary system;
  • Vulvovaginitis;
  • Burns;
  • Suppurating wounds;
  • Fistulas.

The appointment is carried out by a doctor. It determines not only the dosage, but also the form of the drug (tablet or solution). The drug can be used to treat nipple cracks in the first days of breastfeeding, as well as during and after childbirth.

Contraindications to the drug "Furagin"

Instruction for use as a restriction to the reception calls:

  • Severe forms of cardiovascular disease;
  • Intolerance of (individual) components.

Particular caution is recommended for patients with kidney and liver problems. Do not use a drug to treat women after the 38th week of pregnancy, children younger than seven days, as well as with lactation.

Side effects

The drug "Furagin" can cause in the patient:

  • Decreased appetite;
  • An allergic rash;
  • Dizziness and pain;
  • Nausea and vomiting;
  • Development of neuritis.

When the first symptoms appear, the patient is given antihistamines, as well as symptomatic therapy. The medication is stopped. The manifestation of the negative effect decreases with simultaneous reception with Furagin of preparations containing vitamins "B". In addition, the patient is recommended to consume large amounts of liquid.

Special Recommendations and Cautions

When prescribing a medicine, it must be remembered that its properties:

  • Are enhanced with the simultaneous action of tetracyclines;
  • Decrease mutually with fusidin, levomitsetin, nalidixic acid, erythromycin, nystatin, sulfonamides, polymyxins;
  • Absorption capacity decreases when taking antacids.

According to research, the maximum result is achieved with an acidic environment. Alkaline reaction, on the contrary, reduces the therapeutic effect. It can be assigned to employees of responsible specialties, since it does not affect the reaction speed and concentration of attention. During the therapy, it is allowed to drive a vehicle, work on complex mechanisms and so on.

An overdose of a medicine is possible. Its symptoms are the appearance of the above side effects.

The drug "Furagin" is not recommended to take in cases of expiration of the shelf life (five years), as well as in the case of improper storage. The solution is not stored after preparation.
