The drug "Tonzilotrene" describes the instruction as a homeopathic drug intended for use in inflammatory processes in the tonsils. Active components: atropine sulfate, potassium dichromate, sulfuric liver calcium, silicic acid, dichloride mercury.

Atropine sulphate has an effect similar to that of belladonna. This component (atropine sulfate) is used in the acute phase of inflammation, accompanied by swelling, fever, erythema, pain (eg, in angina).

Calcined sulfuric liver is used for relapsing and neglected conditions complicated by abscesses and suppuration. This component is recommended for abscesses in tonsils with purulent contents. High doses of calcified sulfuric liver promote rapid relief of the condition in subacute and acute inflammation of the chronic course, as well as in the lymphatic ring in the tonsils and pharynx.

Potassium dichromate is indicated for inflammatory processes in the nasopharynx complicated by difficulty swallowing, redness, deep circular suppuration.

Silicic acid (water-containing anhydride) is recommended for purulent inflammation. The mechanism of action of this component is based on stimulating the defense system in both acute and neglected pathology, with relapses and chronic processes. Silicic acid helps to strengthen the body's resistance.

Dioxide mercury (mercury iodide (II) has an effect mainly on the mucous membranes, especially in the throat and mouth.It is used for the treatment of acute and chronic tonsillitis accompanied by bloom and pale yellow plugs.The use in chronic current diseases reduces the size of the palatine and pharyngeal Tonsils.

In acute phase of the disease, children from 12 years and adults are prescribed one or two tablets every hour for the first two days (but no more than twelve times a day), after improvement (from the third day), one or two tablets are recommended three times per day day. Children from 1 to 12 years of age are prescribed on a pill every two hours (no more than eight times a day) in the first two days, then - on a tablet three times a day. The reception is continued until complete recovery.

Treatment of chronic tonsillitis and hypertrophy of the pharyngeal tonsils is carried out for six to eight weeks. Dose in this case for patients with twelve years - one or two tablets in three divided doses per day, patients from one year to 12 years - on a tablet three times a day.

Tablets "Tonzilotren" instruction recommends taking half an hour before or after eating, dissolving slowly in the mouth. With relapsing chronic tonsillitis, the doctor can prescribe repeated therapeutic courses.
