Independent release: connection diagram, operating principle, photo

Independent releases are devices that are installed with circuit breakers. Most often, models are used in the design of ventilation. It is also important to note that the trip units are able to be operated with load switches.

Manufacturers make models for 20, 24 and 30 A. The design of the device may differ. In order to understand this question in more detail, a standard circuit of the release should be considered.

The scheme of the usual model

The independent release for the circuit-breaker has a diode rectifier. Dinistors are used in various conductivities. In this case, expanders are installed with modulators. If we consider modifications for phase switches, then they have a transceiver. The relay is most often installed in the lower part of the structure.

Insulators are used for the safe operation of the release. Above the modulator are located contacts. Transistors are installed opposite each other. The kenotrons are often applied with an outer winding and are attached to the modulator.

Principle of operation

How does the independent release work? This question is of concern to many, but the answer to it is extremely simple. In fact, the principle of the independent trip unit is based on changing the position of the contacts. This is due to the supply of a short pulse from the diode rectifier. In this case, the transistor plays the role of a conductor. Due to the modulator, the frequency of the release can be adjusted. To combat electromagnetic interference, the kenotron is used.

Connecting the device

How to connect an independent release? If we consider ventilation systems, then the device is connected through dinistors. In this case, the output contacts are connected through insulators. Directly the parameter of negative resistance is required to oscillate around 25 ohms. Connection to the relay is provided through the expander. When connecting the load break switch , check the threshold resistance. The specified parameter should not exceed 30 Ohm. Fixation of the release is carried out in the power shield. To check the voltage, you need to use the tester.

20 A models

Release units of 20 A are often used for phase switches. The parameter of threshold voltage for the models is in the region of 220 V. Some modifications are made with stabilizers. It is also important to note that in the market are the releases with the protection system IP20. Transistors in them are of a broadband type. All this suggests that they can withstand large overloads in the circuit.

The connection to the shield of many models occurs through the kenotrons. They are produced most often of a two-contact type. Current conductivity in many models does not exceed 5 microns. It is also important to note that models for ventilation systems are manufactured with capacitor modulators. In some cases, they are mounted with expanders. For remote control of the switches, they fit perfectly.

24 A devices

Devices on 24 A consist of diode rectifiers. They are established with different conductivity. As a rule, the protection system is applied by the IP21 series. However, in this case, much depends on the manufacturer. Modulators are applied only to the orthogonal type. For impulse switches are suitable models based on semiconductor thyristors.

Stabilizers in devices are of low sensitivity. The output voltage of the releases of this type does not exceed 20 V. On average, the current conductivity is 3 μ. Insulators are used to secure the device to the shield. If we consider modifications without transceivers, then they use a capacitor block. Many modifications are suitable for low-voltage switches.

Modifications to 30 A

Release units of 30 A are manufactured with code expanders. The output voltage of the models is 35 V. As a rule, rectifiers are of the diode type. In this case, the contacts are mounted on movable plates. Transceivers are used with trimming resistors. Many models are connected to the shields through condenser units. In order to avoid large chain overloads, expansion dinistors are used.

Some releases are made on the basis of a bipolar transceiver. Their distinctive feature is the high conductivity of the current. This parameter fluctuates around 6 microns. However, the disadvantage of such systems is the rapid wear of capacitors. It is also important to note that the models are not suitable for impulse switches.

In this case, the output voltage on the relay is 30 V. The stabilizer in the device is installed without an adapter. Transistors are of a double type. The kenotron is not provided for in the model. Connection of an independent release to the shield is effected via a DINostore. It is installed with one panel, which is located at the bottom of the case. Before connecting the device, first check the negative resistance for each phase. It is also important to note that the wiring is important to carefully isolate.
