The drug "Niperten" has antiarrhythmic, hypotensive effect, has an antianginal effect. The active substance is bisoprolol fumarate.

Indications

The drug "Niperten" (tablets) is prescribed for chronic heart failure, arterial hypertension. The medication is also recommended for the therapy and prevention of an attack of angina pectoris.

Contraindications

The drug "Niperten" (instructions for use indicates this) is not prescribed for shock (cardiogenic including), hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and other beta-blockers. Contra-indications include puffiness in the lungs, collapse, cardiac failure of acute and chronic type in the stage of decompensation, atrioventricular blockade, pronounced bradycardia. The medication is not recommended for weakness syndrome in the sinus node, cardiomegaly (not accompanied by heart failure), Prinzmetall's stenocardia. The preparation Niperten is not prescribed (the instruction for use confirms this) with pheochromocytoma (without the use of alpha-adrenoblockers), late stages of blood supply disorder (peripheral), arterial hypotension. Dosing regimen

The medicine is drunk on an empty stomach, in the morning. The recommended dose is five milligrams once. In some cases, the amount of the drug is increased to 10 mg once a day. Per day, the maximum allowable dose is 20 mg.
