Maia Kristalinskaya: biography

Who is she and how did the talent arise? Maya Vladimirovna Kristalinskaya was born on February 24, 1932 in Moscow. Her father, Vladimir Kristalinsky, earned a living, coming up with and creating all sorts of puzzles and charades for prints. But the love for music and singing to the girl was instilled with a gift made by her uncle (the husband of her father's sister) who worked as a director in the musical theater and gave her an accordion. To play on this instrument she learned herself.

The first successes of Maya Kristalinskaya

At school the girl studied well. She was a diligent child. She combined the school with classes in a children's choir, which was called "People's Ensemble of song and dance ". The head of this team was Semen Osipovich Dunaevsky. But Maya's shyness prevented her from fully exercising her skills in singing. That did not immediately reveal an extraordinary talent in her. Even solo she sang exclusively in the family circle.

At the school graduation party (June 1950), Maya finally decided and sang for casual passers-by on Manezhnaya Square. In her performance there were such songs as "Blue Handkerchief", "Friends-Brothers", as well as other works of the war years.

After school, Maya Kristalinskaya entered and studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute as an engineer-economist. There she continued to show herself creatively, participated in artistic amateur performance. In 1955, after graduation, Maya went to Novosibirsk for distribution. There she worked at the Chkalov aviation plant. Soon the girl returned to Moscow and she was hired by Yakovleva design bureau (design bureau). But Maya did not leave amateur activity and visited the variety ensemble.

Flowering activity

Already in 1957, at the World Festival, which was held in honor of youth and students, Maya performed with the ensemble "First Steps", led by Yu. Saulsky. Performance of the singer made an impression on the audience. She was even called a "nugget from the KB" and was invited to sing at various concerts. Although there were those who were dissatisfied with the performance of Kristalinskaya. In the article "musical style", she was severely criticized.

In the musical circles of Maya, Kristalinskaya began to gain increasing popularity. Her first tour was in Transcaucasia. She successfully performed in Yerevan, Tbilisi, Baku. The audience accepted Kristalinskaya very enthusiastically. After the tour, Maya made a proposal to perform with the already well-known jazz bands, led by Eddie Rosner and Oleg Lundstrem. After 1960, Kristalinskaya recorded the composition of Masha's heroine (poems by G. Pozhenyan), which was called "We are with you two shores ..." which brought her even greater fame.

The period of stagnation of creativity

After the performance with the song "In Our City Rain" on the "Blue Light" (early 70's), the management of the channel accused Maya that she propagandizes sadness and sadness with this work. This led to the fact that Kristalinskaya practically ceased to be shown on television. But the reason for everything was the appointment of S.Lyapin as the chairman of the State TV and Radio, after which many artists were in the same position as Kristalinskaya. Our heroine continued to tour activities, did not desist, and in moments of stagnation she wrote articles in "Evening Moscow", she translated Marlene Dietrich's book "Reflections" into Russian. But, despite this, in 1974, Kristalinskaya was awarded the title of "Honored Artist".

In 1957 our heroine - Maya Kristalinskaya - became a married lady. Her chosen one was Arkady Arkanov, then a medical worker, who later became a famous satirical writer. They met April 30 at the Polytechnic Museum at the International Festival, which was held in honor of youth and students. And already on May 9 Arkady Arkanov made Maya an offer, to which she responded with her consent. And on June 1 , 1957, the wedding of Arkanov and Kristalinskaya took place. Our heroine first saw her husband's parents at her wedding. The couple lived in a rented apartment. Their marriage lasted about a year, after which the couple parted. The cause of the dissolution of the family was different views on life. Already during the marriage, Maia Kristalinskaya, whose biography, whose personal life shows us that the girl was a determined person, retired from the design office to fully devote herself to music.

Disease

When Maya was 29 years old, she had a tumor of lymph glands. During the disease in the community there were always rumors about the death of the singer, about her cancer, about suicide. But after a long treatment, Maya recovered. About the disease resembled only a trace on the neck, which she later had to carefully hide with a scarf.

Second attempt

The creative way the singer Maya Kristalinskaya continued all the same successfully, which can not be said about the personal life of our heroine. The love of the people, fame and many admirers did not bring Kristalin family happiness with the civil husband. In the 60s she met a journalist. At that time he worked in the journal "Soviet Union". Because of the weakness of the chosen one and the predisposition to alcoholic beverages, quarrels constantly occurred, which led to their separation. After a short time Kristalinskaya agrees to the proposal of the sculptor Edward Barclay and marries him. A couple met at a dinner at the famous doctor A. Vishnevsky, where Barclay all evening showed signs of attention to Maya, and then took him home. And in a few months Kristalinskaya moved to Barclay in his one-room apartment. Thanks to her second wife, Maya stopped performing on stage in trouser suits with a kerchief around her neck and changed them to elegant dresses with a high collar. The children of Kristalinskaya did not have either the first or second husband. Therefore, she gave all her maternal love to her niece Maryana.

The last year of life

The marriage of Kristalinsky and Barclay lasted 20 years (until June 19, 1984). Exactly until her husband died. After that, Maya Kristalinskaya encountered illnesses. Her legs and arms began to fail. Then speech was lost. And exactly one year later, on June 19, 1985 Kristalinskaya herself died. But till now the listener remembers the beautiful performance of the singer. It is impossible to forget the emotional spillovers of music and the pure voice of our heroine. The music of those years affects the strings of our souls, excites or soothes, sometimes even makes us cry. But she does not leave anyone indifferent.
