Oxygen cushions are used most often, but do not always give the desired result. So, what is this tool and how to use it? This is an imitation of a rubberized bag with a volume of up to 75 liters, from one corner it has a rubber tube with a funnel and a crane. It is refueled through a cylinder containing oxygen. First, a reducer is attached to the cylinder to reduce the pressure to 2 atm.

Before giving the patient this funnel, it is wiped with alcohol solution and wrapped with a damp gauze cloth. This is done so that incoming oxygen does not irritate the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract. The funnel should fit very closely to the oral cavity so that oxygen enters the lungs and no gas leakage occurs.
