Mastopathy is fibrocystic and cystic.

Fibro-cystic mastopathy is the consolidation and degeneration of breast tissue , which is not malignant. In the process of formation of mastopathy in the mammary gland , small tubercles are formed - seals, which in time can increase in size and somewhat squeeze the ducts.

Fibrous mastopathy of mammary glands occurs in half of all women, but very rarely this process degenerates into a malignant one. This requires exposure to carcinogenic factors and a long process.

Mastopathy fibrocystic can not clinch at all, and it can only be detected with ultrasound. In this case, a woman can detect during self-examination some changes in the structure of the gland. In ultrasound diagnosis, mastopathy looks like an increase in the echogenic structure.

There are also cases of clinical manifestation of this disease in the form of pain syndrome. Pain in mastopathy can be expressed before menstruation, when there is a surge of hormones, and the glands swell. The pain may be aching, or may be stinging.

Fibro-cystic mastopathy is a form of mastopathy, during which the glandular component of the mammary gland degenerates into fibrous tissue and micro-kits in its structure are formed. As a result, the main function of the breast can be disturbed - lactation. The glandular component in the mammary gland is the main tissue that is very susceptible to hormonal influence, and the slightest fluctuations in hormones can lead to its inadequate development.

The main factor that plays a role in the formation of mastopathy is the hormonal balance in the body of a woman. If, for some reason, this balance is disturbed, then normal mammary gland tissue degenerates. In this case, a woman can observe a violation of the cycle of menstruation or their unusual nature. It becomes pronounced premenstrual syndrome: the mood becomes changeable, migraine and pulling pains in the lower abdomen may appear.

Mastopathy fibrocystic can occur after abortion, miscarriages, and inflammatory processes of the pelvic organs. And, as a rule, this process is bilateral, very rarely mastopathy is formed on the one hand.

The danger of fibrocystic mastopathy is that it can be malignant and go into oncological pathology. In this case, a woman will already undergo treatment with an oncologist, and the forecast will be less favorable.

Cystic mastopathy is isolated very rarely. It is characterized by the formation of cysts in the glandular tissue of the mammary gland, as well as possible compression of the ducts and the formation of an inflammatory infiltrate.

Cystic mastopathy is prognostically more unfavorable, because Cysts tend to increase in size and get inflamed. If the cause of the formation of mastopathy is not eliminated, the cysts will begin to progress, and the clinical signs of the disease will appear.

Diagnosis of this disease is primarily a monthly self-examination and a periodic visit to the gynecologist (once every six months). An independent examination of the glands with any form of mastopathy should be carried out in the first phase of the cycle (up to 14 days). If a woman senses tissue tightening, enlarged knots in the volume, or too painful sensations during palpation, you should consult a specialist.

Treatment of fibrocystic mastopathy is primarily to stabilize the process and prevent its further development. If necessary, resort to hormonal therapy of the disease.
