Makukha: what is and how it is used by fishermen

Fishing is a very popular hobby. And do not think that his fans are exclusively men. Once you can meet a grandmother of very old age in a kerchief, jacket, skirt and sneakers, which very cleverly and skillfully fish from the shore of the lake.

Yes, and the children willingly join (of course, mostly to the fathers) and gambly participate in water hunting. Note that for children this is also useful for development, since fishing qualitatively trains patience (which is always lacking in children and adolescents), attention and perseverance. But if not only the process is important, but the result that you would like to roast on a fire or cook in a bowler hat, then it's worth taking a closer look at the subtleties of what you are doing.

Many fishermen are very pleased with the methods of fishing, in which the makuh is used. What is makuha? Cake, left after pressing the oil from the seeds of sunflower or flax (more often still there are sunflower cakes). It is used in two ways: as a lure in the place of the supposed fishing or as a bait in the mackerel.

Which makuhu to choose

Based on the purpose of the cake. The easiest way is to find it in separate pieces (the so-called battle). Honestly, this is a very low quality makuh. What is a "delicacy" is not too interesting fish, you will tell any fisherman with a little bit of experience. So you can use it only for luring. This is due to the fact that the "factory" makuh is too weakly pressed, so it is easily crumbled. At the same time, in most factories, the freshness of the oilcakes is not strictly monitored, to put it mildly, so that stale makuh often has a bitter taste, absolutely unattractive for fish. And for makushatnikov, which are much more effective way of fishing, you need a very high quality makuh. What is quality can be found only in the markets, agree all the anglers. And the cake should be pressed into circles and be fresh - it can be determined by glistening glossy surface and taste, reminiscent of very hard halva.

Proper preparation is the key to successful fishing

It is not enough to be sure that the right makuh is bought: that such a delicacy will cause a rich catch, no one will give you any guarantees unless you take some more effort. Acquired circle must be competently sawn: a very small hacksaw for metal or wood. From the edge, an indent of three inches is made and a piece is cut off from the whole circle. After another 3 cm the following piece is sawn off - and so on until the circle is finished. Cross sections are made every 6 cm, this will be the most correct size. Do not think that this is the end of the work: these are only blanks that are "brought to mind" directly on the beach before the start of fishing. And before this longed-for moment, they will have to be stored in a carefully sealed package, for fidelity wrapped in scotch tape.

Without a swine-pot, good fish can not be caught

Make it simple and fast. Take the sinker through which the line is stretched. It matches a couple of double knots, and centimeters through fifteen put on a stopper bead (sometimes dispensed with without it). At the end of the line, a loop is fastened or a latch is attached. In the workpiece from the makusha, a hole is made through which the fishing line is passed, and in the corners - "dents", into which it will then be convenient to insert the hooks. It will remain to fasten the clasp to the hooks - and your mackintosh is ready for the fish-hunting.

Necessary additions

Fish - carp in particular - has an excellent scent. The inhabitants of rivers and lakes react to the unusual smell by ignoring its source, what does that mean? Makukha must first lose its characteristic "spirit." Experienced fishermen advise harvested makushatniki for several hours to soak in the water, where fishing is planned.

It is important to prepare the signal rods in advance. You can cut them from the nearest bush, but you can prepare them from wire and carry them with you. Some make the mistake of using baby rattles to alert them, without taking into account the possible sharp and strong jerk, from which the toy simply flies away in an unknown direction. Do not skimp, buy normal bells.

Its top is always cooler!

The importance of fresh pomace for successful fishing has already been proved. However, a quality makuh does not always come across. You can make it with your own hands, even if there is no press for wringing - the craftsmen use the usual jack. The most "tasty" is considered to be oil cakes, obtained from ground seeds, ground makuhi (one-third of the total mass), peas, nuts and shortbread cookies, which are taken in approximately equal proportions. All this is pressed, after which it dries up in a dryer or a well ventilated room for about a week. The meaning of the word "makuha" in this case is slightly distorted, since not only sunflower seeds are included in the composition, but it should be noted that almost every queue is lined up for such a dead fish.
