Mainland Spain. Ronda and its attractions

One of the richest and most interesting countries in the world, of course, is Spain. Ronda on its territory is one of the most ancient cities, which is erected in an incredibly picturesque place. It is located on two mountain plateaus in Andalusia, which are connected by a bridge leading through a stormy river. Most tourists and locals admire the view that opens from the bridge. Here you can see the most picturesque valleys and green mountain landscapes, and the waters of a clean river that runs at the very bottom of the abyss, between two mountain hills. In this region for everyone opens a very different, quiet and mysterious Spain.

Ronda is not a noisy city, in which a large number of bars, restaurants and discos are concentrated. Most often come here lovers of peace, quiet, as well as travelers who chase after adventure and conquer various natural peaks. Often near the city tent towns are broken, in which the marigolds stop, admiring the natural delights. It is worth noting that this region is characterized by a hot climate, which is characterized by almost the whole of Spain.

Ronda is considered one of the most ancient cities in the country. It was founded by the Celts who lived here in the 4th century BC. After that he fell into the domain of both the Roman emperors and the Arabs. In the center of the city was built a castle, which became a symbol of this place. The Arabs, who came here again, called it Isna-Rand-Onda, which became the name of this village. Later the village won back and arranged in its own way Spain. Ronda today is divided into two parts - the New and Old Town. These two areas are on the right and left bank of the Guadalévin mountain river and are interconnected by the bridge of Puente Nuevo, which was erected in the 18th century. It is worth noting that the Old City was completely built in the 13th century, and the New Town was born with a bridge.

You can see all the sights of Ronda literally in one day, but in order to understand their importance, it is important how to prepare for the excursion. In the old part of the city there is a large number of historical monuments, among which there are a lot of Arab buildings. For example, on these lands the Alcabar fortress was preserved, as well as Arab baths, decorated exclusively in the oriental style. Of great value for the city is the church of Santa Maria de la Encarnación, which was built in the XV century. Then the influence of the Arabs was not the last political factor, so the cathedral absorbed all the traditions of the Arab architectural style, as well as Gothic and Romanism. It is worth noting that the whole city of Ronda is full of such diversity and contrasts.

Spain, as you know, is the birthplace of the famous bullfight, and it was in this region that the first fights took place in the world. There are many arenas preserved here, among which the largest is Plazo De Toros. There are still battles on its square, and at the time when it's quiet, you can get on the territory of the arena on a tour ticket.

As you can see, Ronda is an amazing and, perhaps, an international place. Spain, whose map says that this city is only a hundred kilometers from Malaga, reveals the veils of some of its secrets here. Well, if you want to look at other attractions in the region, then rent a car and go on a trip to Andalusia. There will be many surprises along the way!
