"Little Faith": actors. "Little Faith": a plot and a description of the film

More than a quarter of a century ago, back in Soviet times, in 1988, the film "Little Faith" was released. For the young director Vasily Pichuly it was the debut in the cinema. For that time the film turned out so scandalous that during the premiere viewing half of the audience left the room with indignant exclamations: "Shame! This is not a Soviet movie! ". Passions flared serious, nevertheless, only in the Soviet Union, about 50-55 million viewers saw this "shame." Young actors ("Little Faith") woke up after the premiere shows known throughout the country and not only. Rent a movie in the US brought more than a million dollars. It so happened that this sensational project of youth cinema was the last, able to collect in theaters a fifty million audience.

The plot is based on the war of fathers and children. Misunderstanding, anger, a sense of hopelessness, an eternal lack of money - these are all causes of inflamed "military" actions. In this confrontation everything is in play, blows below the belt come from both sides. The situation is heated to the limit ...

If you look briefly, it seems that the actors of the film "Little Faith" play a simple banal story from the life of an ordinary Soviet working family. Problems exist, of course, but in our country people are strong and can overcome all the difficulties, succeeding on a rare weekend of the whole, at first sight, friendly family to go to the "KamAZ" to rest on the beach.

Actions take place in the port city, where young people entertain themselves on the dance floor by arranging a battle "wall to wall", and then plays a game with the police "Try, catch up!" Vera (N. Negoda) - one of them, a simple girl, only Finished school. She runs to dances, spends time with a not very good company, reluctantly takes courtship of the same simple guy (A. Fomin). Everything would be so monotonous and continued, if not for a chance meeting with Sergei (A. Sokolov).

The girl falls in love with the guy, leads to her own life and tells her parents about the upcoming wedding. Vera's family is similar to all Soviet families of the time. Nikolai (Y. Nazarov) is the father of the family, often ill, but also drinks often, without forgetting to regularly argue with his wife. Rita (L. Zaitseva) is the mother of Vera, who was tortured by work and domestic cares. She tries to support the family fire, which soon turns into ashes. She has one desire: "That everything should be like people's." Soviet people were not used to stand out and felt calm when everything went according to the long-planned plan. In the family, as in Gosplan, everything is painted ahead.

In this measured life suddenly bursts a newly-born son-in-law, the guy is very handsome, far from stupid, but with extraordinary thinking. He is not satisfied with the quiet family boring life, he tries to break this circle, while Vera struggles to enter into the role of an exemplary and caring wife, not realizing that Sergei does not need it. He himself does not fully realize his desires.

Everything ends tragically: the gradually heated atmosphere leads to a big quarrel between Nicholas and Sergei, and the father beats a guy with a knife, which, fortunately, doctors are saving. Faith rushes between father and beloved. During these troubles the girl with horror realizes that there is no happiness, the love has gone somewhere, only a disgusting boring life has remained. An unsuccessful young wife tries to commit suicide, her father could not survive the unrest and died of a heart attack. The ending is quite logical ...

"Little Faith": actors and roles of the first plan

The main youth roles in the film were lucky to play Natalya Negoda (Vera) and Andrei Sokolov (Sergey). They are young and yet inexperienced actors. "Little Faith" - a film that served them as an excellent start in the world of cinema.

Natalia Negoda to the star role of Vera after the end of the Moscow Art Theater worked in the Moscow Youth Theater. She played there are far from the main roles, all that she got was to depict animals on stage. But experienced actors ("Little Faith") were surprised at how easily Natalia got used to her role. That's only with the discipline of the girl did not work out. Once, Negro with Sasha Tabakova disappeared from the field of view of the film crew for three whole days. Of course, the sea, the sun, the beach, as here you will not forget about the work in their years.

Natasha's partner in the film, Andrei Sokolov, was much more responsible than frivolous girls, but, remembering the shoots, also smiling dreamily. Still, such a role was able to play and at the same time relax on the sea. Before this work, the actor did not act in film, but after the legendary film, Andrew's career sharply went up. Now he has a huge list of remarkable roles behind him, which continues to grow.

Unlike young heroes, the older generation decided to entrust the already well-known talented artists. The parents of the Faith were portrayed by Lyudmila Zaitseva and Yuri Nazarov. The actress, after reading the script, flatly refused to have a disliked role. Rita seemed to Lyudmila how unpleasant that there was no question of filming. Director Vasily Pichula convinced her to reconsider her decision and take a closer look at the heroine. Zaitseva suddenly saw in this worn out everyday woman some part of herself. Many mothers of families forget about simple human happiness in the cycle of everyday problems. Yuri Nazarov, recalling the film, also bitterly argues that even when the problem is clear, there is still no answer to how to live on. The relationship between adults and children is so confused in this youth drama.

Among the actors in the second plan, I would like to mention the work of Alexandra Tabakova, who played a friend of Vera - Lenka Chistyakova. Surname of the girl, as they say, noble! Sasha really is a daughter of Oleg Tabakov. Actors ("Little Faith") appreciated the talent of the girl, who, apparently, was inherited from his stellar father.

An interesting role went to the young actor Alexander Mironov. His hero Tolik - this is a typical representative of the roaming young people of that time. Mironov, to the smallest subtleties, managed to convey the mood that encompassed the desire for freedom of choice of boys and girls. What was it worth his bold hair and pants in a box ...

All without exception, the actors involved in the shooting of the film "Little Faith" claimed that they worked as easily as if they were living their own lives, and shooting was something secondary. Maybe this atmosphere of the port city of Mariupol inspired such a wonderful general mood ...
