Doctors advise regularly giving dogwood drinks to children and people suffering from liver disease, cardiovascular system. After all, this oblong berry with a large oval bone is a real storehouse of vitamins.

Boil compote from dogwood can be by different technologies. Let's consider some of them. Since the taste of the berries is quite sharp, saturated, they require a lot of sugar. Most often, if you close the drink in its pure form, the calculation of the products goes almost 50:50. That is, in order to make compote from dogwood, sugar is taken about 300 g less than the main product. However, during sterilization of time, not so much is required for heat treatment, as, for example, when harvesting sweet cherries. But back to the recipes:

  1. Compote of cornelian common. Berries (1,5 kg) to sort, wash, fall asleep in cans. Fill about a quarter or a little higher. Covering the neck with your hand, turn the containers to drain the water that came with the berries. Then fill the product with a very hot syrup. To make compote from dogwood, the syrup is prepared as follows: 2 liters of water boil, pour 1.2 kg of sugar (remember the ratio of "sugar / berries"!), Boil for 5 minutes. Foam remove. Filled "on the shoulders" can be covered with sterile lids and put on sterilization. Time: half-liter containers - 8-10 minutes, liter - 12-15 minutes, 3 liters - half an hour. Then the lids roll up, the cans are turned over, covered and left for a day to cool down. After that, they can be put in a cellar or a pantry. If all the actions are observed, then the compote from the dogwood, the recipe of which we have just considered, can last for 2 years, and not lose its useful qualities and taste properties. Yes, clarification: when boiling the cans, try to keep your water bath from boiling too much. Otherwise, the compote will strongly boil and evaporate, a lot of liquid will be lost.
  2. Compote "Healthy Assortment". It should be noted that the dogwood is well combined with other berries and fruits. Therefore, the drink from it turns out very tasty, if a jar is put in the jar. We suggest you consider the option of how to cook compote from cornel, sea buckthorn and apples. By the way, he, thanks to a noble ruby color, will perfectly decorate the table in decanters and glasses. And the consumption of products is this: for every kilogram of sea-buckthorn goes as many apples and 600 grams of cornel. Berries are washed, they need to drain. Peel apples from seeds, cut into small slices, dip into boiling water for 2-3 minutes - for blanching. Then all the components are put in jars. Cooking syrup: for every 2 liters of water is the same amount of sugar. It should be boiled for 10 minutes, then poured into jars - to the neck of the neck. Cover and sterilize with covers: half-liter containers - 12-15 minutes, liter - 25 minutes, 3-liter - 35-40 minutes. Then roll up, let cool, put in place.

As you can see, closing the dogwood compote is not at all more difficult than any other. But what a fragrant and pleasant it is - a true drink of the gods!
