Both her parents were professors of literature, and a creative atmosphere always reigned in the house. Parents from a very early age stimulated Lauren and her sister to compose various stories, draw, arrange costumed dances, developing creative imagination and ingenuity in daughters. And, of course, Lauren Oliver instilled a love for books and reading from childhood. The parental home was filled with art objects and a huge number of books. The writer admits that since then and to this day it is such a creative environment that she most likes.

As already mentioned above, the love of reading was instilled by Lauren Oliver from childhood, and this love gradually developed into a craving for writing.
