He somewhat changed the name of the story and summarized the individual elements that differed depending on the region. Thanks to this fairy tale "Emelya and pike" has gained popularity.

Alexei Tolstoy became the next person who decided to cut the familiar plot. He added literary beauty to the folk epic and returned the old title "By the Pike's Command" to the work. "By the Pike Command" (Russian Fairy Tale): Analysis

This story is somewhat reminiscent of the dream of the Slavic peoples with the help of magical powers to get everything they want without straining at the same time.

At the same time, Yemel managed to catch the pike only on his own, when he started doing something even on conscience.

The finished idler in front of the readers evolves to a hard-working, decent man. Having received sufficient motivation in the form of love for the princess, he forgets about the desire to remain a lazy person, to live only for his own pleasure and gets down to business.

If the pike does not make a big impression on him, he initially takes it for granted, then the girl's first refusal awakens feelings in him.

At the moment when Emelya on the stove begins to crush passers-by, according to many explorers of the tale, the guy shows royal features. After this incident, even the monarch turned his attention to him.

It is possible that our ancestors who created a fairy tale saw in the last external transformation Emely and internal changes for the better.

When he became more beautiful, he managed to forgive and understand the king, became kinder and more attentive to others. People with visible distinctive marks on their faces were usually considered bad or even familiar with evil spirits.

While Emelya looked like an ordinary, not very nice guy, he could not become a king. With the discovery of inner beauty, everything changed immediately.

Traditional Russian fairy tales always ended encouragingly. Most likely, peasants of that time just imagined the happiest day.

"By the Pike's Wish"

The crown phrase of the entire fairy tale is "By the pike's will, in my khotenju." This is a kind of spell that causes a magic pike. Saying these words, Emelya gets everything she wants. "By the pike command," that is, just like that. Without having to make any effort. Despite the fact that the fairy tale is called "Emelya and Pike", in the people it was renamed in honor of these magic words.

If you read the meaning of this phrase, it turns out that it is the magic fish that commands the real power.

Pike teaches the guy this secret spell. And as soon as it sounds, the magic begins to act, no matter where Emelya is. Though on the stove, though under water. In the barrel it saves the phrase "by the pike's will." The fairy tale spends it the main thread.

These words immediately became a proverb among the people. They mean an attempt to do something not with their own hands, but for someone else's, most often a magical, account.

The Tale of Pop Culture
