Large enterprises of Saratov: an overview

The foundation of the city of Saratov is in 1590. Originally it was a fortress in which its inhabitants sheltered from the conquerors. Gradually the city grew and developed, and today it is a large industrial, scientific and administrative center of the region.

The main enterprises of Saratov are industrial. But also there are wood processing, light, food, chemical factories and plants. SZSM (Saratov Plant of Building Materials) is a real flagship of the industry, included in the rating of 100 best Russian enterprises. The plant started its activity in 1976. Industrial enterprises of Saratov

The oil refinery takes a leading place. It was founded in 1934. Since 2013 it is a part of the oil company Rosneft. The company is engaged in the production of environmentally friendly fuel, which fully complies with European standards. The plant also specializes in the production of branded fuels.

The enterprise is constantly being reconstructed and modernized. The introduction of modern facilities for oil refining and processing allowed to significantly increase production volumes. For the management of modern facilities, the plant's personnel regularly attend training courses for advanced training.

Bearing Plant

Saratov enterprises include a significant plant specializing in the production of bearings (SPZ-Z). His story begins in the distant 30's. And already in 1941 the plant produced its first products. The assortment of manufactured products is diverse, more than 2,000 kinds of bearings are manufactured here.

Nowadays SDR is a full cycle production. This mode makes it possible to produce products for both the mass consumer and narrowly focused enterprises, for example high-precision bearings used in the machine industry.

In quality, Saratov bearings are not inferior to European ones, and in some respects even surpass them. At the same time, the cost of domestic products is much less than foreign.

Saratov Dairy Plant

As already mentioned above, Saratov enterprises are not limited to industrial orientation, the city has large food factories and combines. One such is the QMS (dairy plant). For 50 years now he has been pleased with the products of the residents of not only Russia, but also of the Near Abroad. After all, all products produced at the plant are produced only from natural milk with observance of all traditional technologies.

The range of products is simply enormous. Cream and milk, whey drinks and yoghurts, butter, milk pastes, casein - every customer finds something to his taste. And the famous Saratov butter is not only delivered to counters in all regions of Russia, but is also laid in the State Reserve.
