"Kanatchikova Dacha" - a song by Vladimir Vysotsky
The author sang this song often, especially in the last years of his life. Today's public is already difficult to understand why this work was perceived with such enthusiasm by listeners. Kanatchikov's dacha by Vladimir Vysotsky is a satirical absurdist narrative about the Soviet reality of the eighties of the last century. This is a view of the world and events in it from the clinic for the violent. This is a dashing mockery of the images and meanings of the Soviet system and propaganda.
Kanatchikov's dacha is the name of a madhouse. But the attentive listener can not help but catch himself thinking that it is not entirely clear from the song, on which side of the fence there are abnormal, and for what - sane people. Vysotsky leaves this issue open and provides an opportunity for everyone to draw their conclusions, to the best of reason.
The narrative is conducted in the form of a monologue
However, to identify the narrator directly with the author is the most common mistake in the perception of the poet's work. The monologue here is nothing more than a reception. Like many other Vysotsky songs, "Kanatchikova Dacha" is full of expressive images and multidimensional meanings. The life of the inhabitants of the clinic is not boring. They are deeply concerned and troubled by the riddles of the universe, the tightening of the regime in the hospital, the philosophical problems of natural science, the events on the fronts of world politics. On most of these questions, the protagonist of the song has time to express his reasoned opinion. The song "Kanatchikova Dacha", among other things, entered the treasury of Russian thought also because the political narrators, leaders of public structures, prime ministers and presidents adore her as the main narrator.
Thirty-odd years without Vysotsky
The poet is remembered in Russia, he is put monuments, his songs are listened to, his poems are quoted with pleasure. Kanatchikov's dacha, which Vysotsky depicted in his song, became a comprehensive image of the socio-political system under which he lived. Much of this song was recognizable, from the head doctor to the silent idiot inclusive. At one time it seemed that these realities had failed in the past irretrievably. But such a conclusion was hasty. Kanatchikov's dacha stands still and intends to survive. Often it seems that the characters of this song broke out from behind the fence and finally moved who - in the power and administrative structures and on television screens. They teach us to live and love our Motherland correctly. "Real violent" turned out to be not so little, as was supposed by the main character of "Kanatchikovoy dacha".
