Kamenny Brod is the name of a village located in the Krasnogvardeysky district of the Samara region. Krasnogvardeysky district, Kamenny Brod village

The origin of the name of the village is connected, most likely, with a river that could be waded. In the Krasnogvardeisky region, the main water artery flows, which is called Big Vyazovka. In the village of Kamenny Brod there is a small river Chapaevka.

It is located in the south-west of the Samara region, in the steppe Zavolzhye. The climate here is sharply continental, with cold and windy winters and hot summers. Natural and climatic conditions contribute to the development in these areas of agriculture and the cultivation of large-baked meat and dairy cattle.

The village is located 37 kilometers from Samara, so it houses gardening associations. Many urban residents buy up houses in the village under the dachas. The composition of the population is diverse, most are Russian, Chuvash, Mordvins, Kazakhs. Recently, Uzbeks, Azerbaijanis, Dagestanis and Tajiks have settled here.

History of the village Kamenny Brod

The village is small, but has long-standing roots. The first mention of its inhabitants appeared in the metric records of the books of 1832. At that time the church of Our Lady of Kazan was also built. Money for construction was collected by all residents. The village along with the region and the district passed a difficult two-hundred-year path. Many of its residents took part in the Great Patriotic War. Many of them died. Their fellow countrymen built the Victory Park, in which the memorial is located.

In the 70s of the last century there was a state farm named after Zhdanov, who was one of the first in the district and the region. Until now, the banner of the state farm is kept in the museum of the village. There are also exhibits of ancient peasant life.

The infrastructure of the village

Church of the icon of Kazan Mother of God

In the village of Kamenny Brod, there is a church of the icon of Kazan Mother of God, built more than 180 years ago, in 1831. It could accommodate up to 1000 worshipers. The church was the pride of the village, it was the only big temple in the whole district.

In 1932 it was closed, then it housed a club, a library with a reading room. Before the war, the bell tower and the dome were dismantled, and the church building was adapted to the granary. The painting of the walls is preserved in places. Only in 1999 the building was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church. The temple was rebuilt, and the exterior works were completed, but the interior finish continues.

Chelno-Vershinsky district

JV Kamenny Brod is the second village that bears this name. It is located in the north of the region, where the border with the Republic of Tatarstan runs. It is here that the Chelno-Vershinsky district is located, which includes the rural settlement Kamenny Brod. It includes three villages, the settlement itself and the village of Krasnaya Bagana and Novaya Tayaba.

The village is inhabited by 1000 inhabitants. It is located in a small area of the Samara region, which is called Chelno-Vershinsky. There is a school, a kindergarten, a recreation center. Stone Wade is completely gasified. The distance from Samara is 185 kilometers. On the territory of the district there is the railway station of Chelna, from which it is possible to reach Moscow, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar Krai, and practically in any region of Russia.

Location of the Chelny-Vershinsky District

The district is located, and with it the Kamenny Brod village of the Samara Region, on the border of the Bugulmino-Belebeevskaya Upland, in the High Zavolzhye. The terrain here is hilly, rugged by ravines and valleys. The climate is continental with sharp changes from a cold winter to a hot summer. The territory is located in the agroclimatic zone, where there is increased hydration.

Great value is possessed by fertile, fat chernozem soils, which occupy up to 90% of the entire arable land. Both climate and fat chernozems contribute to high yields. Therefore, the main direction of the region as a whole and the Kamenny Brod JV in particular are agriculture, grain growing, meat and dairy cattle breeding.

The population and its employment

The population here is predominantly Chuvash, which came here before the revolution from the Old Tayaba of the Kazan province and founded two villages - Novaya Tayab and Kamenny Brod. Also live Russian, Tatars, Mordvinians. The main employment of the population is the production and sale of agricultural products, dairy and beef cattle breeding. On the territory of the Kamenny Brod JV there is a breeding and breeding farm for pigs. Here there are several peasant farms.

How many settlements with this name

The name Kamenny Brod is a mute unusual, and it was interesting to know whether there are other beautifully named settlements in other areas of the settlement, for Kamenny Brod is not Ivanovka or Maryvka, which has survived to this day. But as it turned out, this is not such a rare name. As we see, only in the Samara region this name is worn by two settlements. The village with this name is in the Penza, Volgograd regions. In the Rostov region there is a Kamenny Brod farm. Settlements with this name can be found in Belarus and Ukraine, for example, in the Lugansk region there is a settlement Kamenny Brod.

In Russia, many villages and villages are located far from noisy cities, which have special attractions, history, live their own lives and at the same time are inextricably linked with the country. Many villages and villages have sunk into oblivion, leaving no trace behind them. The number of the rural population is declining annually and will soon reach 25% of the country's total population. It may therefore be so important to learn about each settlement as much as possible. Life does not stand still, the country's urbanization continues, although not at the same pace as in the Soviet era.
