Iveco trucks. Main series of models

The Italian company Industrial Vehicles Corporation has been supplying its European and Russian road models for a long time with its Iveco brand (IVECO, the abbreviation for the company's name). It is one of the world's leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles. Their models are characterized by functionality and reliability, which are perfectly combined with the price.

Basic series

Trucks "Iveko", photos of which can be seen below, can be performed in various bodies, with different types of cabs, chassis and other elements. They are suitable for transportation in the city, and for long-distance flights. In accordance with the needs, goals and financial opportunities, you can choose the appropriate option for yourself. A variety of models allows you to do this. The entire range of models is divided into several series, which we will consider below.

Trucks line "Daily"

Commercial vehicles of this series are suitable for operation in the city. Their production began in 1978. And it continues to this day. During this time, five generations of trucks appeared. Unlike their competitors, all Iveco-Daly trucks have a frame structure. Due to this, they are smaller in size and have a greater load capacity. In addition, this type of frame allows you to create on its basis off-road vehicles with a 4x4 wheel arrangement.

Currently, the manufacturer offers three options:

• van;
• chassis;
• SUV with four-wheel drive.

Vans Iveco-Daly differ in the ability to install sliding doors from either side, even from two at a time. The rear doors are swinging, capable of opening 270 degrees. This design facilitates the loading (unloading) process. It has three configurations, differing in size, weight and carrying capacity. The last, it is worth noting, can range from 1310 to 7000 kilograms.

The height of the van can also be changed due to the air suspension. Front mounted independent suspension with shock absorbers and springs. Another option is the torsion front suspension. Rear suspension pneumatic or spring.

Trucks Iveco-Daily, made as a van, can be equipped with power units (there are only nine of them):

• With a volume of 2.3 liters and a power of 106 to 146 horsepower
• Three-liter, with a capacity of 106 to 205 horsepower;
• The three-liter, working on gas and giving out capacity of 136 horsepowers.

They are manned by a six-speed gearbox, mechanical or robotic.

The Iveco-Daly chassis also has nine variants. The frame is distinguished by its high strength and smooth surface, which makes it convenient to place superstructures or equipment of various types. Most often set:

• An onboard platform with or without awning;
• Refrigerators;
• Camper.

SUV "Iveko-Daily" has good cross-country ability, which makes it possible to use it in various conditions. This is also facilitated by high ground clearance.

Iveco-Trakker trucks

Models of this series are installed on an off-road chassis. Suitable for installation of mixers, dump trailers, municipal engineering and so on. The models differ in the correct choice of weight distribution along the axes. Cars of this series can be used in harsh conditions.

Eurocargo series

Cars of this series are an average option. Their carrying capacity is from one and a half to ten tons. The most popular from the manufacturer "Iveco" trucks 5 tons, which are usually used to work on the city or region.

On the chassis of cars of this series can be installed various bodies: manipulators, garbage trucks, sweepers and so on. This greatly expands the scope of application of these types of trucks.

Technical parameters - power units from 170 to 280 horsepower, the gearbox can also be selected from several options.

Iveco-Stralis

Models of this series belong to the class of truck tractors with a large load capacity. Iveco-Stalis trucks are designed for intercity and international flights. They are distinguished by a high degree of safety, economy and comfort. Power units are installed with a power of 420 to 560 horsepower. They are complemented by a 12 or 16-speed gearbox. The wheel formula is presented in three versions: 4х2, 6х2, 6х4. The buyer can choose the modifications suitable for him.

This line of trucks is represented by three options:

• AU - for international flights. The cabin can be high or low. For recreation there are two beds.
• AT - for intercity flights, the cabin has one berth for the driver.
• AD - for transportation of goods around the city, the cabin is suitable only for day work.
