Is there no sound in Skype - scary or not?

Quite often there is an unpleasant situation, due to the fact that there is no sound in Skype. The problem can be caused both by the hardware of the PC and by the software. Most users in the event of a similar situation panic and carry their computer to the service center or call specialists at home.
