Irinovsky prospect: Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, in the Krasnogvardeisky area, bounded by the streets of Boksitogorsk and the Commune, Irinovsky Avenue passes. The name was given to him in 1914 (it was obtained from the Irinovo narrow-gauge railway branch, which was held here in 1982 between the villages of Irinovka and Bolshaya Okhta).

This railway has a rather interesting history, which dates back to 1889. It was then that Korf Pavel Leopoldovich, who at that time was the chairman of the Economic Free Society, expressed a desire to build his own money to build a railroad leading from the Neva to his estate in Irinovka. He submitted a petition for help to the Cabinet of Ministers. His petition was satisfied, but on one condition, which was that all the work would be completed within three years. Alexander III also approved the project. The construction of the road lasted 33 months. It was the first Russian road with a track gauge not exceeding 750 mm. In 1892 its discovery took place. It was then that there was a need for the construction of a road (now Irinovsky Prospekt) from the Irinovskiy railway station, which was located at the place where the house 62 is now located on the Sverdlovskaya embankment, to the estate of Pavel Leopoldovich.

In 1899, the baron sold the road to the public organization of the Irinov railway station. During this period Irinovsky Prospect occupied the territory between the Ohta River and the modern Prospect of Energetikov. However, by 1929 the road was being rebuilt. During this period, the Irinovsky railway station was reconstructed, the roads leading along Panfilovskaya Street were dismantled. At the moment, only the house 31-A, located on Panfilov Street, reminds of the station. And to Rzhevka, the railway tracks were replaced by tramways. It was from that time on the avenue that trams run.

Since 1970, the tram line, which ran between the Avenue of Metallist and Energetikov, was moved to Bolshaya Porokhovskaya Street. Travel on this site was no more. By the decision of 1978 a part of the territory, located between the Prospectus of Energetikov and the street of Baksitogorskaya, went to the street Bolshaya Porokhovskaya. And two years before that event, the Irinov Avenue had grown a little and now ran from the Okhta River to the beginning of the Commune Street.

In the late 70-ies on the territory adjacent to the prospectus, active construction of residential buildings began. Irinovsky Prospect began to cross more and more new highways, among which were the Industrial Avenue and the Avenue of Mentors. During this period, the road that led from Ilyinskaya Sloboda to the village of Malinovka was renamed Peredovikov Street. A small part related to the Koltushsky highway was slightly reconstructed and referred to the street of the Commune, which now ends with the prospectus of Irinovsky.

Now here is a modern avenue with numerous shops, offices and organizations, including the KIA auto showroom (St. Petersburg), located in the house 10. The new auto center has a spacious showroom with an area of 650 square meters, a service area with a reception area Cars is designed for 15 workplaces. There is also a warehouse of spare parts and a painting and body shop. The service department can serve up to 30 cars per day. In addition, it provides a noteworthy list of services for the repair of vehicles KIA, repair of mechanical boxes and engines, computer diagnostics and much more.
