The plant is from the family of Rosaceae. In nature, it feels good in a thin undergrowth, on forest clearings, on low slopes well illuminated by the sun. Irga can grow at an altitude of up to two thousand meters, this makes it well adapted to the conditions of the tundra.

If you comply with these conditions, you can get high berries. The latter have sour and astringent taste, they are very fond of children. Due to the high content of organic acids, vitamins C, P and A, as well as the presence of iodine, they are very useful for enhancing immunity. Irga, planting and caring for which are similar to caring for other berry bushes (gooseberry, currant), should grow on well-moistened soil, so as not to lose its decorative appearance. It must also be mulched with peat or humus. After the bush has taken root, it must be regularly cut with a good sharp pruner. Do not regret weak shoots - in the future they will only worsen the appearance of the bush. You can propagate by grafting the cuttings on seedlings of mountain ash. Irga annually gives a harvest. Delicate fruits with a taste of cinnamon can be used for making home-made beverages, compotes, candied fruits, jams. They have a lot of pectin, so you can also make jelly.
