Ipomea is a beautiful flowering plant that attracts attention with its unusual shape and diversity of varieties.

The leaves of the plant in most cases have a heart shape, which makes it even more attractive and interesting. Flowers of white, red, magenta and blue in the form of a gramophone. Very often you can find bicolour morning glory and even tri-color. The plant blooms only one day, but it is not very noticeable, as there are a lot of flowers, and when one bloom, others bloom only begins.

How the morning glory is grown

Planting and caring for this plant is not very intricate, since Ipomoea is considered one of the most unpretentious representatives of the flora. In addition, Ipomoea multiplies by self-seeding, so the grower will not have to search and buy seeds every year to grow these flowers. The only condition for successful self-sowing is a favorable climate that will allow the seeds to ripen without problems.

In order for the morning glory to grow and blossom every year, it is necessary to leave the stems with seeds on the ground so that they can enter the earth and germinate in the spring. Note that in spring shoots are not thinned out. Quite the opposite: the thicker they are, the more beautiful the morning glory will look. Planting and care, although simple, imply constant monitoring of the behavior of weeds, as the cornflower plants are most susceptible to their attack.

Plant a plant better in a sunny place, although in the cool shade of the trees it will feel good. You can plant a vine near a tree so that it wraps its trunk.

Ipomea, planting and caring for which does not require the efforts of a gardener, will surely bring joy not only to the owner of the flower bed, but to others. That the plant developed correctly, it is necessary to look after it competently.

First, the soil must be sufficiently nutritious. Otherwise, the plant needs to be fed with organic fertilizers. Several times in the season Ipomoe can be fed with complex fertilizer. Secondly, the flower requires regular watering, which will not allow the drying of the soil.

It is important that the morning glory, planting and care of which must be carried out very carefully, is considered a poisonous plant, so it is better not to plant it in places where children or animals walk. Experts also recommend not to transplant ipomeju or do it so that the roots are not damaged (transplanted with a native earthen lump).

For a change, you can plant several varieties of morning glory together. The most common plant species include kvokkolit and sweet potato.
