Injection sand: characteristics, application

Such material as sand plays a big role in the construction. It is added to various mixtures that are used to make blocks, concrete and plaster solutions. They are also fortified by embankments and roads. The product is used not only natural, but also artificial.

Depending on the type of production, sand is an alluvial, quarry, river or marine sand. The washed (washed) sand is an environmentally friendly material that passes water. It practically does not contain clay and stones.

Method of extraction

Application

Injection sand is used:

• For the manufacture of curbs, columns, reinforced concrete rings, tile paving;
• As filler solutions;
• For finishing works.

Sand quarry washed (washed) has a number of advantages compared to conventional quarry material (unwashed).

Of great importance in construction is the use of pure breed. There are ways to clean the material. If it is necessary to wash a small amount of the product, then it is sieved and water is supplied. In construction, there are jobs that require the use of large crystals. To do this, take a frame with a grid of 5-10 mm. It is installed strictly horizontally on bricks (4-5 pieces in each corner). The net is lined with sacking. The mixture is topped up on the top, leveling it, and the water is fed from the hose under pressure.

Sometimes in construction a sand mix with impurities of earth and other suspensions is used. It is permissible to use it when it is not required that the work is performed only using high-quality materials. For example, it is required to fall asleep a site above the ground or a trench.

Its use finds both natural and artificial sand. The strength of the products depends on the quality of the building mix.
