Anglicisms that are present in modern Russian (and other) languages, by their very existence, confirm that with all the wealth of the "great and mighty", in some cases, it is not enough. And it's not just the number of phonemes contained in the average phrase. There are nuances that need to be distinguished. In addition, our business vocabulary, due to historical circumstances, is quite behind the times. What is a "tender"? Why is the meaning of the long expression "trusting society" easy to fit into a short English "trust"?

The title of Elvis Presley's famous song "Love Me Tender" in the 90s was jokingly translated as "love me, tender." Four English words, printed on dollar bills "In God We Trust", the Americans themselves are also treated not without humor.

Looking at the coins or bills that have been earned, a person who is faithful and honest should feel a sense of satisfaction and tranquility, and a criminal or a bribe-taker, receiving unrighteous prey, may feel remorse. "In God We Trust" - a line from the text of the American anthem of 1814, its appearance on payment means was intended to confirm the primacy of Christian values in the internal and external state policy of the young country of the New World. How this high goal was realized, the question is complex and ambiguous, as are the answers to it, but the intention itself certainly deserves respect. The last time a lawsuit on the legality of using the phrase "In God We Trust" as a state attribute was considered by the US Supreme Court in 1977. The decision was made conservative: leave everything as is.

In 2013, after a long break in circulation, a new two-dollar bill was issued. The issuer was the bank of Atlanta. In total, almost 45 million copies have been printed. Naturally, the money of the new sample is adorned with the same motto, "In God We Trust".

American humor

In conventional snack bars, which are traditionally called "dragsters" in the United States, that is, pharmacies (pharmacists were forced to expand the range of offered goods and services after pharmaceutical companies finally won the drug market), and especially in bars on the walls, plaques and posters, Sometimes very witty. They are intended for those customers who do not want to observe the order without a reminder, but they require food and booze in debt. "If you are so clever, where is your money?" - one asks, "No Money - No Drink!" - warns another, "Credit worsens relations," admonishes the third. There is something from the state symbols. The phrase "In God We Trust" is supplemented by a categorical continuation of "All Others Pay Cash!" "In God we believe, and everything else for cash" - this translates almost the whole expression, not very briefly, but very clearly conveys the essence of the religious basis of the American economic superstructure .
