'Ibufen' for children - the instruction will tell the mode of application

It's no secret that for most parents, even a slight increase in temperature in a child becomes an excuse for unrest. In this case, immediately begins the search for a drug that can normalize the temperature, but this behavior can not be recognized as correct - a slight hyperthermia contributes to the activation of the immune system and speeds up the recovery process.

What kind of medications do you need from a child?

It should be noted that for a child, regardless of his age, absolutely those medicines that adults usually take are not shown. The ideal means for lowering the temperature should act quickly and have a minimal negative impact on the baby's body. The children's body is negatively affected by "Analgin", which inhibits bone marrow hematopoiesis, and "Aspirin", the reception of which can provoke an attack of seizures. That is why drugs of choice are medicines, which include relatively safe drugs "Nurofen" or "Ibufen" for children. Instructions for the use of these medicines suggest, depending on the age of the baby and his preferences, the active substance ibuprofen in the form of various medicinal forms - candles, tablets, syrup.

"Ibufen" for children is currently considered the safest drug - this is indirectly evidenced by the fact that this doctor can recommend this medicine even to a child of the first year of life, starting from the age of 2 months. But every adult should realize that only qualified and experienced pediatrician should prescribe any medicine. Self-medication can be dangerous for the baby's health.

Features of the drug "Ibufen" and its purpose in children's practice

In the event that the pediatrician recommends taking "Ibufen" for children, the instructions enclosed in each package of the drug will prompt the desired mode of application and the maximum dosage that corresponds to the age of the baby. The most common form of this drug in children's practice remains sweet syrup, for accurate dosing of which is attached a measuring spoon. Depending on the age of the child and the weight of his body, the doctor prescribes the number of receptions and the maximum duration of treatment - no more than 3 days as an antipyretic and 5 days as an anesthetic drug.

But the safety of this drug is relative, and there are contraindications to the appointment of the drug "Ibufen". Instruction for use indicates that this medicine can not be given to a child longer than advised by a pediatrician, and also if the child has liver and gastrointestinal diseases, nervous system diseases , kidneys and allergic reactions. With long-term administration of the drug "Ibufen" may develop complications from the hematopoietic system (bleeding with minor injuries and disorders of bone marrow hematopoiesis).

"Ibufen" is not a panacea for all diseases

In children's practice, one often has to deal with the situation when preparations for lowering temperature are appointed unreasonably. In the summer, the child is often disrupted thermoregulation, and the parents unreasonably give the baby ibufen to a child. The instruction to the drug in this case says that this temperature should be reduced by non-medicamentous methods - rubbing, copious drinking, and resorting to the drug only after the appointment of a doctor.

In cases where hyperthermia becomes a symptom of an infectious disease, "Ibufen" is a child, the instruction for the use of which must be maintained throughout the treatment, should be given to the child only when the temperature of his body exceeds 38.50C or a small patient develops seizures. But even in this case, parents need to follow the doctor's recommendations and not give this medicine "in reserve", at a time when the body temperature is relatively low.
