How to use stained glass gel-lacquer?

The fashion for nail extensions is gradually passing. To date, most girls tend to naturalness. And to keep the manicure flawless long enough, many resort to such material as gel-lacquer - a hybrid of two drugs, which has a lot of advantages. Stained glass gel-lacquer appeared not so long ago, but already fell in love with many ladies.

"Stained-glass window" in nail extensions

Initially, there was only a stained glass gel, which is actively used and still in the modeling of nails. For example, glass or aquarium design is most often performed precisely with the help of such material. Stained glass gel varnish differs slightly from a similar gel, as it is not intended for modeling nails, only for decorative coating. "Stained-glass window" can be applied both as an independent material, and as an addition to the finished drawing or pattern. And the gel-varnish is also relevant.

Featured Companies

Of course, after the first stained - glass gel-varnishes for the nails from the company Gelish appeared, well-known and not very competitors poduetilis. To date, almost all manufacturers in the manicure industry have tried to create collections of "stained-glass windows", designed not for modeling. But in Russia there are a great demand for several firms:

  • "Formula of the pro";
  • Lady Victory;
  • Gelish;
  • Bluesky Shellac.

Some masters also like completely unknown producers. For example, OULAC is a Chinese brand with some advantages in comparison with competitors.

"Formula of the pros"

Stained glass gel varnish is represented in a very wide range of colors. The Tint series is called, it has 20 shades. And in addition there is also a silvery tone, which is very capricious in the work, as noted by the masters. All other colors are fairly simple to handle. Stained glass gel "Formula pro" polymerizes in the rays of ultraviolet or LED llama for 2 minutes. However, there are some nuances.

Instructions for creating a mirror manicure

To make an ideal and long-lasting nail design using Tint's stained-glass gel-lacquers, the following materials and tools will be needed:

  • Base and top without an adhesive layer;
  • Pro-prep (degreaser) and pro-bond (primer);
  • Varnish with a chrome effect (for example, CHROME effect from the "Pro fora");
  • Gel-lacquer of the desired shade;
  • Nail file for natural nails;
  • Orange sticks.

It is noteworthy that the degreaser and primer do not necessarily have to coincide with the main material company. Therefore, you can use the budget options. The persistence of manicure does not suffer from this.

After removing excess length and sawing the free edge to the desired shape, the nail shine is removed with a soft nail file, and the cuticle is removed. If necessary, it can be removed with a special gel. Fatty film, which inevitably forms on the nails, is removed with a degreaser, and a primer is applied to the free edge (it is also a bond or a bonder). The product dries in air for a few seconds.

Step 1: base and top

A distinctive feature of the mirror manicure, which uses stained glass gel-varnish, is precisely the combination of the base and top coating. That is, after preparing the nails on them, first put the base in a thin layer, and after drying it - the top without an adhesive layer. It, too, must be polymerized in the rays of the ultraviolet lamp for 90 seconds.

Step 2: Varnish and gel varnish

When the top dries, a varnish with a chromium effect is applied over it to a thin layer. For example, CHROME effect or Bluesky. Since this is a usual lacquer in structure, it also dries on air. However, the masters point out that if you place the handles on the drying time in an ultraviolet lamp, the material will be well "baked" and warmed up. On it then it will be easier to apply gel-varnish. Color, by the way, a chrome-plated material can be any. When it dries, it is covered with stained glass gel-varnish in several layers, each of which is polymerized in a lamp.

Step 3: Secure

On top of the finished manicure, the top is applied without an adhesive layer, the drying time of which in the LED-lamp is 60 seconds, and in the usual ultraviolet - twice as much. The main thing is, after drying, do not touch a few minutes of your fingernails with your hands, so that the material completely "cool".

Lady Victory and Bluesky Shellac

These two budget firms are in great demand. And most importantly, the palette has more than 3 shades. Stained glass gel-lacquer Lady Victory can be purchased at a price of 150-200 rubles per bottle, which, by the way, will last for a long time with proper storage. A Bluesky Shellac - within 100-300 rubles, with the same shelf life (3 years). At the same time it is noted that the first company has no better material in the brush than the material: even, the pile is softer, the hairs are denser to each other, do not fall out.

A little information

It is noteworthy that any "stained-glass window" should be used according to the principle described above. Separately gel-varnish with a stained-glass effect is not recommended for nails, as it is translucent: it gives an ugly shade of manicure. But you can carry out the design on top of the same jacket. The result is a unique pattern that many girls like.

In general, stained glass gel-paint (photo of the finished manicure can be seen above) is intended more specifically for the decoration of nails, rather than for full coverage. So, it is very convenient for them to perform a mosaic design of weightless shades. The main thing is to thoroughly mix the gel-varnish before use, so that the pigment, settled on the bottom, is evenly distributed, and the manicure turned out even and without "bald spots", stripes and bubbles. For drawing by material it is recommended to use separate thin brushes with the subsequent easy washing by degreaser.
