How to unscrew the broken bolt correctly?
When screwing the bolts it sometimes happens that the hat breaks off. If there was such a trouble, of course, the question arises as to how to unscrew the broken bolt without damaging the parts connected by it.
It is more difficult to cope with such task as to unscrew the broken bolt, broken level with the surface or even below it. The key here does not help, since there's simply no way to grab them. However, nothing is impossible, you just have to be patient. This problem can be solved in several ways. All of them are quite complex and time-consuming, but quite feasible.
However, sometimes the rod jams tightly, and the screwdriver does not help. For the home master, the question remains on how to unscrew the broken bolt. The most radical way is to drill a bolt hole of a smaller diameter into the rod and cut the thread in it. This requires an electric drill with a set of drill bits of different diameters and a tap.
Similarly, a broken nail, screw or hairpin is removed. The bolt or other fastening element easily comes to the surface. In the most extreme case, the hole is gradually expanded, using drills of different diameters (from smaller to larger) until the steel walls of the rod become very thin. After that they can be broken and pulled out with tweezers.
There is another fairly simple way to unscrew a broken bolt with a recessed rod. You just need to weld the chip using a nut. Its diameter must be greater than the diameter of the rod by at least 1 mm. It is necessary that during welding the metal warms up well and expands. The resulting unit is poured cold water. After all has cooled down, the chip is carefully twisted.
We hope the answer to the question on how to unscrew the broken bolt, you got. We wish that in the future all the bolts, screws and pins are easily screwed and twisted, not breaking.
