A sample of notes "On Health". Church notes "On Health" and "On the Rest"

Visiting the temple, many parishioners not only put candles in front of images of the Savior and saints, but also make church notes about health and repose. This is a special form of asking for people before the Lord. Such notes are read by the priest during the liturgy, so they have such a blessed power. A church note on health (a sample is presented in the article) is written according to certain canons.

Secret meaning

Constant parishioners of the churches know that you can submit notes on health to the prayer or proskomedia (consecration of Gifts). A sample for writing them can be asked from the servants of the church or beforehand to read it. During the proskomedia, which is the first part of the liturgy, the priest takes out 9 particles from a large prosphora in memory of the Lamb, the Blessed Virgin, prophets, apostles, all saints, and also the deceased and the living. During this ritual, the priest also reads out the names of people captured in the note on health. After that, the priest puts the consecrated particles in the chalice (a special cup for the sacrament) with wine symbolizing the blood of Christ. For this reason, notes on health, submitted to the proskomedia, have a special prayer force.

Such applications for the granting of health to relatives and friends can be submitted for prayer. The names of people are loudly pronounced during prayers.

At the same time, a sample of notes on health, submitted to the proskomedia, is no different from those that the priest reads during the moleben.

Notes on health are better served before the liturgy, so that the ministers of the temple managed to pass it to the priest. If this did not work, dear people will be prayed to you at the next service.

The Orthodox try to regularly submit notes on the health of those who are sick and in need of help. For such people it is possible to submit a note for forty-one prayers for the sick person for 40 days.

Prayer for the dead

No less important are the notes on the repose. To some extent, people who have left this world need more prayerful help than all those who are still alive. After all, no one knows what it is like in another, heavenly world. Few have time to confess and receive Communion, having died from sudden death. Notes on the repose - it's an opportunity to ease the newly-departed life in another world, completely unknown to us.

"Where there are two, there I am"

Prayer itself has an amazing life-giving power. And where the two or more people pray, the Lord himself abides. Therefore, it is so important to file notes on the repose on church services. Just like in the case of notes on health, a parishioner can order a sorokoust, especially for a newly-departed Christian.

In many churches there is an opportunity to pray constantly for the deceased. This is the so-called note for eternal remembrance.

Whom does the church pray for?

The Orthodox Church prays for all sinners, including those who lived in severe sins - fornication, adultery, drunkenness. For unbaptized, now living, you can also submit notes for individual prayer services (for example, the martyr Uaru). Proskomidiyu write such a petition is impossible - for the consecration of gifts are given notes only with the names of baptized, faithful to the Lord. History shows that St. John of Kronstadt prayed even for non-Orthodox Catholics, Muslims, so they were healed.

You can not submit notes about unbaptized dead. After all, this is a kind of violence against the soul of a man who decided to live outside of Christ. About babies who died before they were baptized, it is also impossible to file notes. You can pray for them before the icon, mention the name of the child during the prayer service. But this does not mean that in another world it will be worse. They are angels who have not committed sin, therefore even unbaptized babies have a special place in Paradise.

For whom you can not submit notes?

The exception is suicides - those who refused the gift of God - their lives. Such people, unfortunately, the church does not sing the burial service and does not pray for them.

Many are indignant at the fact that for the souls of those who deprived others of their lives, the church prays and even burial, while suicides turn out to be outside the grace of God. It is necessary to try to look at this situation from another, purely Orthodox side: what pushes a person to such a really brave deed (after all, the feeling of self-preservation is inherent in all living on earth)? Usually a person wishes to die from the moment when he no longer sees the meaning of his existence. In other words, he is in the deepest depression, or despondency, that is a great sin before the Lord. Depressed are those who do not believe in His miraculous power and Omnipotence, who rely only on themselves. Thus, a person contrasts his essentially insignificant essence with the image of the Eternal Lord, who created everything in this world. And since he is opposing, that means he puts himself on a par with the one who is simply not worthy because of his sinfulness. And if a person after a perfect murder has the opportunity to repent of such a grievous sin and suffer a penance for many years (obedience to the priest), the suicide is doomed to eternal torment beyond remorse and humility.

Therefore, it is so important to be "poor in spirit", i.e. Trust in the Lord and His Divine providence, and not only in their own strengths. Man is inherently powerless, and only in God's hands is his life. Therefore, all the life obstacles and adversities that are encountered on the way must be overcome with humility and gratitude. The Lord will never give man more than what he is able to endure and endure. It's not for nothing that people say that "everything that is done for the better" and "there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped."

A sample of a memorandum about health

When you come to the temple, you need to ask for a note in the church shop. In individual churches, these are already prepared forms of notes on health with empty fields for names. In some churches (for example, rural) the parishioner will have to completely fill the sheet himself. A sample of notes on health can be asked from the servants of the church, if you doubt the correctness of its writing.

At the very top, in the center, you need to draw an Orthodox, eight-pointed cross from 3 rails. Then the name "About Health" is written. The line below begins to inscribe the names in the genitive case. A sample of notes on health should contain only those names with which these people were baptized. For example, Ivan will be prayed for as John, for Julia as Juliana, etc. If a person is currently sick, you can mention this in a note of "ailing Matthew." Children under 7 years old are referred to as babies (up to this age they take communion without confession, since they are considered to be sinless).

Notes on health (the sample is presented below), containing the names Priests, should also contain a priest, for example, "Priest of Peter." And the names of clergymen should be at the very beginning of the note.

This note should contain no more than 10 names. If you want to pray for the health of more people, write their names on different sheets.

Keep Your Name Your Name

It is necessary to correctly indicate the name of the priest for whom the clergy and their flock will pray. It must be the name that was given to a person at baptism. Usually it coincides with what we call relatives and friends in everyday life - Alexander, Irina, Vasily, Varvara, etc. But there are names that, under the influence of certain historical events, have acquired a somewhat different sound. Sometimes it is difficult to find out their original form - Jana from John, Pauline from Appolinary. Individual names are not found in the Orthodox calendar at all. In such cases a person is usually given a similarly sounding name, for example, Ruslana will be surrounded as Romana, Arina will be called Irina in baptism, etc. It is best to first inquire with your relatives and relatives about their Orthodox name in order to properly fill out a sample of notes on health.

How to write a note about the repose?

About the repose is written on the same sample with the appropriate name. To mention the people who died no later than 40 days, it is possible to use the word "new". Those who became victims are referred to as "murdered".

After all the names they write "with deceased relatives", which means "with other deceased relatives".

The book about the family

In those families, where people are particularly sensitive to the question of faith and spiritual salvation, often a special book is called, called memorials. They contain the names of the living and deceased relatives and relatives, the days of the memory of the saints, in whose honor they are baptized. Such books are given during worship. You can buy it at any church store. Keep the funeral is needed on the lower shelves of the iconostasis - behind the images or next to candles and liturgical books.

Thus, a note on health and repose is an important point of the Christian's concern for his fellow man. Prayer for loved ones will be heard, for the Lord is always where two or more people pray for one. And samples of notes on health and rest you can take from the ministers of the temple.
