How to transform a small kitchen

Unfortunately, in our days such a problem as a small kitchen is not uncommon. A similar architectural feature is characteristic of the Soviet residential buildings that were erected in the last century, and most of the new buildings that fill all the residential areas of Moscow and other large cities of the country. In this regard, many people have long learned how to furnish such premises in the most ergonomic way, making them more spacious and lighter. Therefore, speaking of a small kitchen and solving this problem, you can choose one of two options: the redevelopment of the apartment or the so-called visual increase in space.

There is nothing easier than creating an interior kitchen with your own hands, which can expand the walls of the room. For starters it is important to abandon dark tones, large decor elements and static. Design should be the embodiment of lightness, airiness, some negligence and asymmetry. Thus, a small kitchen will "lose" its former boundaries, become more spacious, and finding in it will bring only positive emotions. However, for the interior to turn out to be truly harmonious, it is important to correctly combine colors and texture, furniture and accessories and not forget about the light.

Much more profitable in this case will look a minimal set of furniture, consisting of a desktop, a plate and a sink. Instead of such plants harmoniously in the interior will fit violets, geraniums and daisies.

Window decoration is one of the most important design aspects. Textiles in any room plays a significant role, giving it an atmosphere of home comfort or adjusting everyone to the working mood. The boundaries for choosing the kitchen curtains are not, therefore, it is worthwhile to approach this aspect with the utmost attention. In a small kitchen it is advisable to hang light curtains that will create a cozy and at the same time not become a hindrance. An alternative to them, however, as well as a logical addition, can be bamboo curtains, which ideally protect from the sun and extraneous views.
