How to recognize and treat lichen in dogs

Lishay in dogs (trichophytosis), unfortunately, is quite common, especially in the summer months. And this unpleasant disease can amaze not only homeless animals, but also quite well-groomed pets. The thing is in the fungus Microsporium, which causes the disease. Fungus settles on the dog's skin and begins to multiply actively. Often because of the wool, it is not possible to recognize the disease in the early stages. As the fungus grows on the skin of dogs, spots of circular shape appear, the diameter of one spot is 1.5-3 cm. These drugs are a vaccine that affects the fungus, destroying it. Often together with the vaccine, the doctor prescribes antiallergic drugs. After the introduction of the first dose of the vaccine, there may be a deterioration in the state of the animals: the lichens in dogs progress, the number of spots increases. This should not frighten, relief will come with consistent treatment.
