How to make apple marmalade yourself?
At the end of summer, many gardeners accumulate a huge number of apples. Someone squeezes fruit out of fruit, cooks jam, makes a pastille, and someone pleases their loved ones with a sweet product called marmalade. As is known, such jelly delicacy is created on the basis of pectin. But not always this substance is sold separately in stores. Therefore, we will tell you how apple marmalade is made without additives and dyes (only from fruits and granulated sugar). To give this sweet product a unique taste, it was also decided to use orange juice and its zest during cooking.
How to make apple marmalade at home
Necessary ingredients:
- Apples ripe of any sort - 1 kg;
- Sand sugar - 1 glass;
- Fresh orange - 4 pcs .;
- Powdered sugar - at will (for decorating dessert).
Process of processing apples
To apple jelly is the way it is sold in the store (even better), you should strictly follow all the rules for cooking. It is required to take 1 kg of fruit, peel them and remove the seed box. These elements should not be thrown away, since they also contain the pectin necessary for us. In order to remove it, the cleaning should be folded into gauze, tightly knotted, and then placed in a pan with a little water and boil until soft. After this, it is necessary to wait for the bag to cool down, and then squeeze the juice out of it into the same pan. The cake can be thrown away.

Apple marmalade with orange additives is made as follows: in a deep saucepan it is necessary to pour sugar, pour in previously prepared water with pectin (where the peel of apples was cooked) and put on a weak fire. When the bulk product melts, it should be added with finely chopped apples, as well as juice and orange peel. In this composition, the mass must be extinguished under a closed lid for 10 minutes.
Formation of dessert
After preparing the base, take a shallow tray, grease it with vegetable oil, and then fill with a hot mass of 2 centimeters. The surface of mashed potatoes should be leveled with a large spoon and leave for one day so that the home-made apple marmalade freezes.
At the end of the prescribed time, you should take a cutting board, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, lay a frozen treat on it, and then cut into small portions.
