How to make an angel with your own hands out of paper, using different techniques

Homemade Christmas toys were relevant and popular at all times. After all, just such a thing, created in a single copy with warmth and love, is capable not only to decorate the interior, but also to bring warmth, comfort and peace to the house. These are figurines of animals made of papier-mâché, and a variety of balloons painted by hand, and, of course, angels made of paper. A master class on their creation using several well-known techniques is presented below.

Flat figures of paper

This is the simplest technology that even little ones can master. It takes white paper, a simple pencil, acrylic paints, brushes and the silhouette of an angel. It can be painted by hand, you can buy a ready-made stencil, or you can circle it using a book. Before you cut out the angel's paper, you need to apply the contour with a simple pencil. A ready-made figure can be left snow-white or draw with the help of paints a face and paint wings. The angel is hung on a chandelier, glued to a window or decorated with a Christmas tree.

To make the figure come out more openwork, the edges of the wings are cut and trimmed with an ornament of holes, using an awl or a thin needle.

"Fan" angel

This technique is more often used when the paper is made of "bird of happiness". But the angels, with their own hands made of paper collected on this principle, are very nice. They are hung on chandeliers, fir trees or just a carnation in the wall. Thanks to the voluminous wings, it is felt that the figure hovers above the floor. Paper is suitable for everyone, but the most interesting is the option of a delicate (but dense) napkin. The edges of it should be not even, but quaintly carved or decorated with ornaments. 2 napkins (or 2 pieces of paper) are bent alternately in opposite directions, getting 2 fans. One of them is fastened in the middle by a thread or sewed (these are the wings), and the second is attached to the edge (body). Then they are joined together. Of more dense paper or cardboard make a face. In the end, the figure is decorated with beads, paper flowers or other elements and a thread is attached to it. Slightly fantasizing, you can detail the angel, adding his hands, feet, collar or attaching a halo from the wire.

Little Magic

It turns out that the most common paper napkins can turn into a desktop angel. This will require a minimum of effort, glue and a little imagination. Dense napkins of pastel tones (not necessarily white) will do. Before you make an angel with your own hands from the paper in this scheme, it draws a circle (or you can take openwork stands for coffee and tea cups). Then, removing the segment, approximately equal to a quarter of the total area, the rest of the fold and glue along the edge, getting a cone. If the paper is thick enough, the workpiece will be held flat on the surface without assistance. To her glued wings, cutting them from the second napkin (you can combine different colors). Attach the head to the top of the cone. It can be just a circle of cardboard, a small ball or a funny childish face, carved, for example, from a postcard. If there is an aerosol paint of golden or silver color, you can give the radiance of the finished composition.

Acting according to this scheme, disposable cardboard plates, napkins, paper holders and everything that bends, glues together and has a round shape easily turn into angels.

Origami

This ancient Japanese technique, which allows you to create animals, people and other objects, will help those who are pondering how to make an angel with their own hands made of paper. It should be noted right away that this art is not simple. So without the experience and preparation to make an angel is not easy. But with perseverance, patience and a certain skill, everything will certainly come out.

Paper is needed white or colored, moderately dense, for example, a sheet of square shape. It is bent in half, and then doubled, but already like a book. Opening its edges and pressing them down, form a trapezoid. Then the upper part of it is lowered down, having received the letter "T". This is the preparation of the future angel. It must be bent along, and then, by multiple deformations, symmetrically forming the wings. For beginners, it makes sense to focus on a few folds. Such angels with their own hands come out of paper easily. At the same time they will be quite recognizable. Those who have more experience, it is worth continuing and forming additional folds, and then - the head.

Papier mache

How to make an angel with your own hands out of paper to make a real sculpture? The occupation, I must say, is not simple. And the time to create one figure will need much more than in all previous versions. But the result will be completely different.

Paper is suitable for any, and still need glue (PVA or other available), water, acrylic paints, wire and paper clips. And, of course, patience. Before making an angel with your own hands, a lot of paper is prepared from the paper. It is torn, crushed and poured hot water. And then cook or soak for about a day, so that it softens. At the end, squeeze well and, adding glue, bring to the consistency of the dough.

A wire is formed from the wire, which is padded with papier-mache. The result is a sculpture of an angel. Wings make wire, from clerical clips or bird feathers. After the sculpture has dried (about a day), it is covered with paints, painted face and decorated with decorative elements.

An angel of paper can be created in any technique of working with this material. This can be done by both children and adults. The most important thing is to work with a good mood, putting a piece of warmth into each figure. Then there will be a real guardian angel who will bring light, peace and joy.
