How to make a French manicure in ombre technique

In fact, the French manicure in the technique of ombre - it's all familiar gradient. Only it is performed in such a way as to emphasize the line of a smile. The usual technique of the French manicure involves contrasting, clearly traced fingertips, and applying a varnish in the style of ombre will soften the "smile", will achieve a smooth transition of color from natural to white. Of course, there is nothing to prevent the color French manicure in the technique of ombre, for example, highlight the tips of the nails black, red or even make them colorful.

What colors should I not take for an ombre?

To make the perfect French manicure in ombre technique you need to learn how to correctly combine colors. And for this we turn to the theory. Below in the photo - the color wheel.

Pay attention not only to what colors are located opposite to each other, but also to the fact that in the middle of the circle there is a pure color, to the center - diluted with white, to the edges - black. Thus, on the orange line we see a stretch from peach to brown. As for the graphic design of nails, you can take any color from one line and combine it with any color of the opposite strip, and all this will be harmonious, although different in terms of the impression produced. For example, we take a pure bright orange and a bright blue. These two colors in the neighborhood will seem even brighter. But their blending will give a gray color, they quench each other, so if you want to use these two colors in a gradient, you need the transitional colors: green and yellow. For a gradient of two shades, you need to take either colors from one line, creating transitions from light to dark, or from neighboring ones, otherwise you risk getting dirt on your nails.

How to make a French manicure ombre

For it you will need: lacquers (solid + white or any colors to taste), sponge or foam, nail polish remover, synthetic brush or cotton buds, scotch - if desired. Varnishes must have a good pigmentation. A sponge is better to take a fine-grained, but not too. Sponges for cosmetics are usually too dense and do not absorb the lacquer, and the sponge for the dishes have too large cells, and the gradient looks rough. Best of all - usual packing foam. It has small cells, but at the same time sufficient to absorb the varnish. Synthetic brush is very convenient to adjust the line at the cuticle and remove excess lacquer, but here you can use any methods that suit you. So, the sequence of actions is as follows:

1) Nails prepare, make a manicure. The most costly part of time is the removal of surpluses of varnish, so it is worthwhile to search in advance for the most convenient options. For example, you can apply a thick cream on the skin around your nails or glue the skin areas with scotch tape as much as possible.

2) Lacquer strips can be applied directly to the sponge, and you can take cellophane (for example, an unnecessary file), draw two strips on it and a toothpick to mix the border between the two varnishes in order to achieve an even smoother transition. But if the foam is suitable, there is no special need for this intermediate effect. Lacquers should be applied boldly, because they will partially absorb. You can cover the nail completely with the base color, and apply only white on the sponge. And by fast moving movements, create a smooth transition to white color, touching once or twice where there is only a hint of white tint, and many times where white color should be bright.

3) If you chose the option with two colors - the sponge is applied to the nail. Strongly press on the sponge should not - this is how the sponge cells are printed and the design turns out to be untidy. Pressing should be moderate. Then the sponge is removed, you can immediately see how successful the design is. You can make a few nails in a row, using the same lacquers applied to the sponge once. But it is better for each nail to repeat this process: lacquer on the sponge, sponge to the nail. Otherwise, there is a risk of getting a too pale imprint, which will have to be completely redone.

4) When the French manicure ombre is ready on all the nails, proceed to the final measures: the excess of the varnish on the skin around the nails is erased (it is better not to tighten it than the fresh manicure, the easier it is to fix its shortcomings), dry it, cover it with top.

French manicure in ombre technique: other ways

Aerography is another way to make an amazing French manicure in the ombre technique. Of course, this method is available mainly to professionals, since an airbrush with a full set of necessary equipment (compressor, stencils) costs about twenty thousand rubles, and not every woman, even a passionate nail designer, is ready to buy a thing of such a narrow purpose for personal use. In any case, stretching, made with the help of an airbrush, will be ideal: with completely inconspicuous, smooth transitions of color. The airbrush was invented more than a hundred years ago for artistic purposes. Its appearance changed, today it is a small device, in shape resembling a pen for writing. It not only sprays the paint, but also makes it possible to adjust the density of spraying.

These are the main modern ways to create the effect of ombre on the nails.
