How to draw winter in stages with a pencil? How to draw winter paints?

All children and even adults adore winter. This time of year shrouds everyone with its fabulous atmosphere. The winter landscape fascinates: trees, silvered with snow and frost, falling soft snow. What could be more beautiful? How to draw winter and transfer this fabulous mood to paper without any problems? This can make both an experienced and a novice artist.

Thinking every step

How to draw winter in stages, namely the winter landscape with paints and a pencil, we will consider in our article. Let's start with the winter landscape painted with gouache.

Before drawing winter paints, on a sheet of paper we make a sketch with a pencil. We have a house, trees and courtyard structures to fill the picture.

Draw the background. It will be more convenient if we start from a distant plan, gradually moving to the front. Execution of such a rule is not at all a prerequisite. Some artists, on the contrary, it is more convenient to draw from the foreground, gradually moving to distant objects and background. Our future landscape will be flooded with sunlight, so to add to the picture of brightness and fairy-tale, the background is drawn in warm tones.

Picture elements

On the left side we make sketches of a dense coniferous forest. To do this, we mix three colors of paint on the palette: yellow, blue and a little black.

The main element in the figure is a wooden house. To achieve the most natural color for drawing logs, you need to mix three colors on the palette: yellow, brown and ocher. We use a brush made of bristles, which we make strokes along the entire length of the logs, unevenly staining them for a more natural kind of wood.

After applying the main color, you do not have to wait until the paint has dried, but once you start painting the shadows from the bottom of the logs. To ensure that the transitions are not conspicuous and not too harsh, it is desirable to mix the black paint with ocher.

Draw a far forest

In the paint, which we used to draw the background, we add white and yellow, so that the forest seemed a bit lighter than the background itself.
So gradually we reached the tree trunks. To achieve greater naturalness and color similarity, we trace tree trunks, mixing brown, green and black colors. We apply the smears in several layers, without waiting for the drying of the previous layer.

By the same principle, we draw the trunks of all trees. After the paint dries, it is necessary to lighten some areas on the bark, making white glare from the bright sun. And the shadow side (the back wall of the house) is painted in red-brown color.

Thin strokes

While the paint is not completely dried, a fine brush can indicate the texture of the logs and paint the window frames with yellow paint. Although the drawing is sunny and bright, but the time on it is already afternoon, when the sun is gradually settling. It seems that it's still light in the street, but the house has already turned on the light. Glare in the window you can draw a white gouache, and closer to the frame, the glass a little darken.

Let's move on to the details

We take a brush from the bristles and with dot motions make out dark bushes around the wooden house. By the same principle, we add white snow covered bushes.

With a white hillock in blue-gray color, we plan a trail. The lower part of each strip is brightened with white paint, and the upper edge is darkened.

The next stage will be the drawing of thin branches on trees. To do this, we take the thinnest brush and paint the snow-covered branches with white paint.

The foreground of the picture is adorned with a small spruce. The figure shows that the sun is shining in our direction, so the fir tree is shadowy to us. Mix the blue, black, green, white and a little yellow paint and paint over the thick branches of the fir. The shadow under the tree is also remembered to show. Black-green paint marks places in the snow, from where the spruce branches look out.

In order to chart light on the fir tree, draw them with a white-blue gouache.

And the last step

The final stage in the step-by-step course "How to draw a winter landscape" will be the creation of an imitation of snowfall. To do this, we need a hard large brush and white paint. Spray paint drawing with a brush, most importantly, do not overdo it so as not to create a blizzard instead of a light snow.

Street in the village in pencil

Now let's look at how to draw winter pencils. This lesson is not intended for beginners, but it can be mastered by artists with little experience. Let's try to draw a street in the village in winter, powdered with snow. The lesson will explain how to draw winter in a pencil stepwise.

Stages of implementation

First of all, we plan the location of the house, the trees. This is done by easy movements.

We pass to the shading of the sky. It is better to do this with a hard pencil.

Gradually move on to drawing the house, the fence around it and the trees. Trees that stand in the foreground, make out more detailed, draw bark and branches.

Places where snowdrifts are located, do not shade the pencil, but leave it empty.

In the picture, the light falls on the right, so do not forget to add shadows and correctly decorate the walls of the house. There, where the sun falls, is lighter, and from the shadow side (side wall) is darker. To enhance the brightness of the picture, use pencils softer. On the place of the branches covered with snow, while we leave clean places.

Details

Let's move on to a more detailed drawing of the house. On the trees we add small branches. Near the house we draw a column with power lines, it is well painted over and do not forget about the shadow. On the right side we depict another pillar and behind it in the background additional buildings, as in any rural yard.

The tree in the foreground is drawn more clearly and we have snow caps on it. In a solid pencil we paint over the additional structures in the background. Do not forget to put a pile of snow on the trees. You can practice a little and learn how to draw children in the winter.

Final touches

After all, the picture has become quite clear. Now it is necessary to add the finishing touches. We break snow caps on trees with thin branches. Lightly paint over the snow lying on the road, leaving only small lighted segments, glare.

The lesson "How to draw a winter with a pencil" came to an end. In the cold season, most adults and children spend their leisure time at home. There is a lot of free time to do drawing with your children. You can try to make some drawings on the winter theme.

Bulk snow paint

For this technique, in equal quantities, mix PVA glue and shaving foam. With this paint you can draw an air of snow, a three-dimensional snowman, a beautiful winter landscape. To begin with, the contours of the future drawing will be denoted by a pencil, and after that we apply the paint. Such a painting can be decorated with sequins before it stiffens. The drawing is ready.

Falling snow

If the remains of a bubble film wrapped in shops when selling equipment are left in the house, it can be used for children's drawings. We apply to the bubbles of white and blue paint and apply it to the finished landscape. The resulting points are very much like falling snow.

Unusual paint

How to draw winter using ordinary rock salt? Winter landscape will give a fairytale beauty. She sprinkles a still not dried out picture, and when it dries, just brush off the remains of salt. The drawing is ready. You can admire the sparkling snowflakes that formed from the salt particles.
