The new "Mercedes" -E-class convertible is already in Russia!

At the end of last year, the German concern Mercedes-Benz publicly provided information on restyling sedans and E-class wagons that will be available for sale in a year. But in January this year the company decided to finalize two more body options - it was Mercedes-E-class (cabriolet) and a coupe. Such unexpected decision of developers has plunged many into shock, and already now domestic motorists can officially get a restyling cabriolet in Russia. Exterior

In developing the appearance of the designers, the task was to create a more modern and aerodynamic body. As a result of multiple improvements, the Mercedes-Cabriolet received a more sporty bumper, simulating a spoiler at the bottom of the car, a new grille and a headlamp block, which now are combined. And the last detail has built-in navigation lights on the LEDs, due to which the designers managed to create some effect of "four-pricked".

Salon

If outwardly the "Mercedes" cabriolet changed only partially, then the interior designers worked on the glory. The main changes are observed in the front, including the new panel board, which now has only 3 wells. The central console is also not left without attention. The structure of the arrangement of the control elements was slightly modified, which, in turn, positively influenced the overall ergonomics of the cabin. The changes were successful, and now the restyling Mercedes-cab inside looked more fresh and modern.

How the hinged top works

The main detail that distinguishes a cabriolet from other types of cars is, of course, the presence of a folding roof. The novelty is able to fold and spread out its top in 20 seconds, and the speed of the car during this process can reach a mark of up to 40 kilometers per hour (but no more). The entire roof is folded into the trunk, because of what the capacity of the car is slightly reduced (instead of the previous 390 liters in the Mercedes-convertible with an open top you can put luggage up to 300 liters).

Specifications

The car will have a new line of engines, which consists of six gasoline and three turbo-diesel units. Such a variety of choices allows the buyer to buy a convertible to his taste and purse. Gasoline engines have a power range of 184-408 "horses". Diesel units develop power from 170 to 265 horsepower. All 9 engines can be equipped with a mechanical or automatic transmission at seven speeds. And a smart "machine" can temporarily work in a mechanical mode.
