How to choose a good traumatic gun

Literally in a decade, the popularity of traumatic weapons has reached all conceivable limits. Responding to the constantly increasing demand, manufacturers have piled up the shelves of weapons stores with their products. Now you can count dozens if not hundreds of different types and samples of such self-defense weapons. And in this regard, the buyer faces a difficult question: "What good traumatic gun to choose?" Let's try to figure out what is best to buy. What are the qualities of a good traumatic gun?

Efficiency and Effectiveness

The main task of a traumatic weapon is to protect its owner from illegal actions of other persons or animal attacks. This is achieved in two ways: psychological and, so to speak, physical (traumatic). By psychological means is understood the impact on the attacker by the sight of a pistol pointed at him, when he is not able to determine whether the weapon is in the hands of the defender or "traumatist". This effect is enhanced by the realistic sound of the shot. By traumatic means means the immediate possibility of a bullet fired from a traumatic pistol, to stop aggression. When a good traumatic copy gun is used, one effect is superimposed on the other. The attacker, having received a rubber bullet and experiencing pain from a stroke, is not able to determine the degree of defeat and the type of bullet that hit him.

The contradiction between efficiency and effectiveness

Alas, but to achieve in one sample and a high similarity to a combat pistol and maximum stopping action is impossible. This is connected with the small muzzle energy of the "traumas" and a small weight of rubber bullets. Modern combat pistols have a maximum caliber of 11.43 mm, and even this diameter does not allow to make a rubber bullet really effective. Often, 9 mm trunks are used, which further reduces the small possibilities of rubber pellets. And here the buyer himself must decide what a good traumatic gun means for him: "pugach" or knocking down a sledgehammer.

Bulletless pistols

An example of non-lethal weapons with a powerful stopping action is a good traumatic domestic gun "Wasp". Outwardly, it looks more like a multi-barreled rocket launcher or toy than a military weapon, but getting his 12-gallon bullet with a steel core can quickly dispel all doubts about the seriousness of this "trauma". The bezstvolnym it is called because in its design, the trunks are absent as such. Their role is played by long sleeves having 18 mm in diameter. This design determined the relatively low price of the gun itself and the high cost of ammunition to it. On the basis of "Wasps" the best traumatic pistol of 2013 "Shaman" was created. Using the "aspen" principle, the "Shaman" shoots huge 20.5x45 cartridges, muzzle energy of which reaches 120 Joules.

Pistols-copies

In this case, you should pay attention mainly to the quality of assembly and components of weapons, because its damaging capabilities depend more on the cartridge used than on the design of the sample. Of course, the larger the caliber, the better, therefore less than 9 mm - it will already be exclusively "pugach". A good traumatic copy-gun is likely to be released at the enterprise, which makes it a combat prototype. An example of this is the "Makarovs" from "Izhmash". However, for foreign samples this rule does not always work.
