High Elf in the History of Warcraft

The history of the World of Warcraft is full of its events, heroes and adventures. A lot of races, two factions, constant wars with demons or with each other, splits, ups and downs - all these players could watch on their screens. This is a story in which a tall elf betrayed his kinsmen, a man became the leader of the whip, and the usual orc became the leader of the entire Horde.

The beginning of history

Now I would like to tell a little about the history of the high elves. These creatures have appeared in Azeroth since time immemorial, when people did not exist. Love of magic, the preservation of ancient traditions, as well as power - this is what the high elves differed from . Warcraft quite interestingly painted their fate, even tragically.

The First War

When the demons first invaded Azeroth, people did not exist yet. The strike of the powerful army of the Burning Legion could only be the most successful and powerful of all races. And these were elves. But everything would be so, if they did not call the demons themselves. Yes, Queen Azshara allowed the army of Sargeras to enter this world, blinded by his greatness. As a portal they used the Well of Eternity - a powerful source of the magic of that world. The main blow to yourself was taken by Kaldorei, the lower elves, who immediately saw in the Legion the danger and the desire to destroy this world. Among the leaders of the resistance army can be noted Illidan, Malfurion, Tirandu and representatives of other races who responded to the call to protect their house.

The highest traitors

Queen Azshara, high elf Xavius and many other highborne, as they were called, betrayed their world and began to fight on the side of demons. Of course, not all of them agreed to this and even among them there were their heroes. Fortunately, in the war the demons lost, and many of the high elves sank together with their former capital after a great schism. Some remained faithful to their brethren, others were expelled with disgrace, and they went to the Eastern Kingdoms.

Further history

With this race, a lot of interesting things happened, even before the story told us in the game "Warcraft 3". The high elves embarked on the path of truth, joined the Alliance, fought against the ferocious trolls, helped people in the first war with the orcs and even contributed to the fight against the demons.

But once again the story decided to deploy them in a different direction. The former highborne decided to break their ties with the Alliance and Lordaeron, and they did it extremely badly, because exactly at this time the fall of the great prince Arthas Menethil began. The former paladin and servant of light became the leader of the whip, driven by the phantom call of the Ice Blade and Ner'zhul, who placed a part of his soul in him.

Arthas needed the Sunwell, which the elves built in their capital to resurrect the powerful magician. The army of people did not help their former allies and the Lich King managed to achieve his own, and at the same time to organize a real bloody massacre, many high elves were killed. Warcraft 3 generally dealt a serious blow to this race.

Few ran away: someone decided to take the position of the world and, united with the armies of the Horde and the Alliance, to crush the Scourge. Someone else led a tall elf, Prince Quel'Thas. His desire to take revenge on the whole world for what happened is not a testament to nobility, but his race was once a traitor, and so many agreed to his sinister plan. It was thanks to him that a new race appeared in the world - the Blood Elves, they penetrated so deeply into the magic of demons that they involuntarily began to emanate it. After such a turn the prince was called a traitor and tried to erase it from history.

World of Warcraft

In the famous WoW game, all events are also reflected, moreover, it is given the opportunity to storm the last stronghold that the high elf Kael'Tas has built with a group of the same heroes. In this game, this race can not be selected by the player. The Blood Elves are available, not the higher ones, and it's easy to explain. Too few of them are left, they do not have their own capital, and their history and current status are trampled into the mud for many years to come.
