Libraries of Surgut: independent education for everyone

Libraries - this is the place where many books are collected in different directions and everyone can come and choose a book for reading, for work or for their hobby. There are such establishments in the city of Surgut.

The history of the creation is more than 100 years, when for the first time in 1905 a public library was created, initiated by the Surgut uyezd, the highest representative of power.

To date, there are 13 libraries, including Children's and Central. Also in every school of general education there is a mini-library, in preschool institutions, in college and other educational institutions.

The main library of the city. Pushkin has more than 10 rooms, where there are books of various directions, from fiction and ending with the hall of linguistics and regional studies.

There are more than 200 thousand books, every year the library fund is replenished with several tens of thousands of new books, not only thanks to the purchase, but also thanks to citizens who give books to the library for permanent use.

In addition to the main task, the Surgut libraries, including the Central one, carry out such tasks and carry out such activities that help broaden the horizons of citizens and visitors of the city. Often there are quizzes, conferences devoted to certain events or people. Passes and contests, for example, devoted to the Year of Ecology in Russia, or such interesting events as "Biblioch" and Total dictation, and absolutely everyone can take part.

The libraries of Surgut are located in different parts of the city, and this institution is located at: Friendship Avenue, 11a. Each child can come here, choose a book, stay in the reading room or visit the center of developmental reading, which combined the reading room and the games room, since the smallest children can come here. In the center there are such entertainments as readings of fairy tales and poems, lessons of drawing illustrations for fairy tales.

For the youngest, there are developing books-folding books, books-overturners, books with colorful pictures. There are several rooms for older children who already know how and like to read: for preschool children, schoolchildren and teenagers over 16 years old.

For the eldest are the halls of fiction, industry and reference literature.

The libraries of Surgut, including Children's, try to make it so that it was always interesting and would like to return, therefore, in addition to the books, three clubs were organized: a circle called "Magic Brush", created for inculcation of love for reading, studio "Samodelkina School" for development Creative abilities in children, the puppet theater "The Fairy Tale", the main task of which is the promotion of the book with the help of theatrical forms.
