Hammer paint: properties and applications

Hammer paint is widely used in the modern interior of premises. It is used for painting various metal structures.
After the paint has dried, a coating is created on the surface of the metal, which simulates the coining resulting from hammer blows on the metal. Hammer paint can have a different base (epoxy, alkyd-styrene, acrylic) and filler (aluminum powder, finely dispersed glass, as well as other materials). Paint with a hammer effect has anti-corrosion properties, gives the coating strength, strengthens adhesion to metals. This type of paint has a high resistance to temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and also to atmospheric moisture. Hammer paint is used for painting industrial metal surfaces, cases of electrical appliances and other things. Quite often, the paint is used to form anticorrosive protective coatings of both steel and galvanized surfaces.

Hammer paint perfectly conceals a variety of defects in the product. For painting the product you will need some inventory and materials: hammer paint, roller, brush, acetone, solvent 646-648, gloves, primer enamel on rust. Before painting, the surface of the metal is cleaned of paint and rust. To do this, you can use a metal brush or sandpaper. After stripping, dirt and dust are removed from the metal surface. Then the entire surface is degreased with acetone. The painted surfaces are primed with primer enamel over rust. The surfaces are painted at a temperature of -10 to +30 degrees.

Before the process of painting, the hammer paint is thoroughly mixed. After the primer enamel has dried, the product is covered with a layer of the above-mentioned paint, for this you can use a paint sprayer, roller or brush. In the process of coloring, the enamel is diluted with a solvent. Hammer paint is applied in several layers, after complete drying of the first layer immediately applied second, and then the third layer of enamel. An important nuance in this process is that each successive layer must be thicker than the previous one.

The paint dries out during the day, a unique patterned pattern is formed on the surface. To prevent the formation of an ugly pattern on vertical surfaces, the enamel must be applied with a thin layer. After staining, do not forget to ventilate the room. To remove paint stains on tools, use thinner.

Many are interested in what paints are used for painting concrete floors? A distinctive feature of concrete floors is that they are high-strength and durable. Most often they can be seen in the back rooms, production halls, garages and even in some residential areas. The most vulnerable place they have is the top layer. The surface of concrete is dusty, so it has an unattractive appearance. Most often, concrete covers are covered with a traditional floor covering or modern paint is used for concrete floors.
