In this system, the guitar sounds lower and harder. It is used mainly in heavy music.

• Open D. This system is most often used when playing a slide guitar.

• Elevated and lowered construction. Often musicians lower or increase the guitar system by a half, a tone or even more. You can rebuild all the strings in the same way or in different ways. However, acoustic guitars (especially classical ones) are at risk of getting damaged when playing in an advanced formation.
• Instrumental system. It implies setting the guitar to the standard for another instrument. You can customize it like a balalaika, charango, cithara.

I also want to mention that the guitar, unlike many musical instruments, is not tuned in a quintup.
