Guide for the sliding-door wardrobe: types and their features
The guide for the sliding-door wardrobe is a combination of parts that perform the function of moving various furniture designs. At the moment there are two types of these systems. This is a guide for the closet and for drawers. Despite the great similarity in the design, today we would like to pay attention to the first type of parts.
Varieties
It should be noted that different sliding-door systems are used in different cabinets. For example, in economy-class devices, this type of mechanism is used, in which the door is made of steel or (more often) in an aluminum frame. On furniture designs of a more expensive class, the option is applied, in which there is no any frame of the door. On the lower and upper sides of the furniture, in this case, plastic guides (for the closet) are used. In the grooves of these devices are mounted special rollers, which are tightly attached to the extreme parts of the door frame.
It should be noted that such an option of sliding devices is not very convenient to use, since the door is taken out of the frame, and various dirt and dust can accumulate in the grooves. If they are not wiped in time, then these deposits will in time interfere with the free opening of the device, because of which you will have to apply extra effort. As a result, the life of the guides, and indeed of the cabinet as a whole, is substantially reduced. Therefore, cheap furniture is not such a bad option compared to expensive analogues.

Such parts are made of metal most often, since plastic can simply crack under the load in due course. The design of the rollers assumes the presence of a ball bearing internal mechanism that allows the door to move freely in the horizontal direction.
Devices used in expensive furniture
In more expensive designs, other rollers are used, which are inserted into the door frame and move along special rails. In this case, a special hook does not allow them to slip out of the reiki. Such a mechanism is considered to be strong and durable. However, compared with the rollers, which are used on cheap economy class cabinets, they are not only reliable, but also quiet.
