Group "Secret". History of success

Domestic rock and pop music in the period from 1983 to 1990 was associated exclusively with the group "Secret". This team was the most popular at this time. "The main group of the Soviet Union" - this unofficial title, to which viewers and critics endowed the "Secret", proved a huge popular love for the work of the famous four.

Forming a group

The group "Secret" in its final composition was formed in 1983. The entry of the collective into the Leningrad rock club and the release of the first album on the tape "You and I" became notable events in the history of the group and gave rise to active creative activity of the collective. In less than a year (March 1984) the group was among the winners of the second festival of the Leningrad Rock Club, which by the standards of that time was a resounding success. The beat quartet, consisting of four members, Maxim Leonidov, Nikolai Fomenko, Andrei Zabludovsky and Alexei Murashov, became megapopular.

First concerts

The Secret group, which rarely performed in public, made a real sensation at the concert in the framework of the International Festival of Youth and Students, which took place in the summer of 1985. This was another confirmation of the cult popularity of the collective.

Soon Maxim Leonidov, one of the best vocalists of the country, becomes the leading musical show-program for young people "Circling discs". Each issue was marked by the appearance of "Secret" with a new song.

Approximately at the same time, the guys participate in the work on the musical-eccentric comedy "How to become a star?". In this project, stand-alone numbers are linked together by the main characters: Maxim Leonidov and the parrot Vakoy. The film collected a lot of megastars of that time. In it, in addition to the participants in the beat-quartet, you can see the theater "Litsedei", Valery Leontiev, Viktor Reznikov, Larisa Dolin, Raymond Pauls.

In the fall of 1985 the group "Secret" began to actively tour. Everyday performances at various concert venues have always been a resounding success. A busy schedule forced Maxim Leonidov to abandon his work in the program "Circling discs."

The first disk

Already in 1986, at one of the best at that time recording studios in Tallinn, the team recorded its debut disk giant. This album was voted twice platinum. The popularity of the guys was just fantastic. It was then that for the first time in the Soviet Union a fan club was opened. Members of the fan club organized meetings of numerous fans with members of the group and conducted other propaganda activities.

"Leningrad time" - the second, no less successful album of the beat-quartet, which was recorded in 1988. A few months after its release, the children were invited for the first time to foreign tours. They visited Germany, and after that took part in a song contest held in the Polish town of Soplo.

Changes in the composition

However, soon the first losses occur in the staff of the collective. In the beginning of 1990 the group leader, Maxim Leonidov, left for Israel to live and work there. In January 1990, the group "Secret" in the Swiss city of Schwyz for the last time acts in a legendary composition. The remaining three members of the band continue to act as a band, now a trio.

The leader of the team for several years was Nikolai Fomenko. But in parallel he actively participated in many TV programs, was shot in the cinema. At this time, the Secret group (see photo below) recorded two more albums: "The Orchestra on the Road" (1991) and "Do not Worry!" (1994), songs of which became no less popular than those that were released When the band was a quartet.

In 1996, Fomenko left the group. He is no longer able to combine musical activity with numerous shootings and performances in the theater "Satyricon". The group "The Secret", the discography of which was replenished at that time with another album Blues de Moscou, still existed for a while as a duet.

Soon the band had a new guitarist Oleg Chinyakov. The tour activity was almost stopped, but the trio performed quite successfully in clubs in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and also participated in various talk shows on television.

In 1998, the album "Secretion" was being prepared for release, which was to consist of acoustic versions of old songs. However, the crisis situation intervened on August 17 ... The "Secret" group, whose biography was subsequently inextricably linked with creative activity, ceased to exist as a single whole.

But it should be noted that several times the guys gathered in a legendary composition and gave many concerts timed to the memorable dates in the activity of the collective.

Many songs of "Secret" have not lost their relevance. They sound on the waves of radio stations and recall the time when for ten years in the country there was a cult of the band.
