Gratitude to veterans - only on Victory Day?

It all started back in 1941. A war that took the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. It lasted exactly 1418 days and nights. The young guys who left early for the front, but returned from the war, remember these days with tears in their eyes and trembling in their voice. Now they are old men, and every year on the day of the Great Victory all the inhabitants of the country express their gratitude to the veterans. But is it only one day a year worth remembering them? Do not they deserve every day help and care? What survived our winners, what losses the army suffered - tell your children about victories and defeats or let them read this article.

The beginning of a terrible war

Summer is 41 years old. June 22, almost every city passed graduation parties. Thousands of graduates gathered to meet the dawn with school friends, many saw him for the last time. It is worth mentioning the words of gratitude to the veterans for their victory and for the surviving stories about this difficult period in people's lives.

Many towns and villages from the Baltic Sea and the Carpathian Mountains awoke from volleys of guns and bombs that flew from the air. Someone was luckier a little more, they learned about the war from a radio report. In the morning the whole world shuddered with horror: no one understood what was happening, and did not believe that it would be for long.

Losses

The figures of losses of human lives on both sides make us horrified - about five million people, not only Russians and Germans, but also Belarusians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Buryats and other peoples. About a million more people have disappeared. We will not give official figures about the loss of technology, but we note that only during the first hour of the war the losses of the USSR amounted to about two and a half thousand military equipment - this is an hour! And the war lasted four long years.

We express our gratitude to the veterans, for if it were not for their fighting spirit, their dedication and love for their homeland, the figures would be tens of times greater!

Hitler - Happened Hopes

He hoped for a quick war and did not expect such an answer. Poland and Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Romania surrendered to Germany practically without a fight, but the Soviet people did not want to give their homeland to strangers - fascists. Our army fought for everything that belonged to the Soviet Union - territory, people, their mothers, wives and children. Eighteen-year-old boys enrolled in mass. In the first days of the war, the number of volunteers already exceeded one million people. The units returned, which now need not only gratitude. Veterans of war need attention and, perhaps, little care, it is important for them to know that victory was not in vain, that they did not fight in vain.

How long did the Great Patriotic War last?

From June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945: 4 terrible years, 1,418 days. There was everything here: fear and hunger, small joys and great victories, tears of happiness and tears of sorrow, and a long agonizing waiting for news from the battlefield. Those who passed this all, now ninety years, someone more, someone less. But even seven decades later, since the end of the war, memories in their memory are fresh. Everything seemed to be yesterday, and today words of gratitude to the veterans sound, in their eyes - tears, and in memory - faces of people who have not returned from the war.

What to tell the children about Victory?

The younger generation must know the price at which this victory was given. Must understand what is fascism. Why victory is called the Great.

The war engulfed many states, 80 percent of the population living on the planet, fought for their homeland, defended their fatherland. The fighting was fought on the ground and in the air, the Nazis set fire to villages and villages, which are now only alive in the memory of the old. They fought to the last breath - for this they are particularly grateful. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War is hard to remember, as it was, their lives are divided into before and after. But every year they again and again remember the terrible days of the war. They share experiences and thoughts that visited them at that time. Veterans are few, so it is so important to have time to hear and understand them. The task of modern youth is not to let all people on Earth forget about this terrible war.

Victory Day - how and when do they celebrate?

After the Great Victory, the Soviet Union celebrated this holiday on May 9 for three years. It was officially recognized as a day off. The first May 9 brought together all the people: the flowers of the soldiers returning from the front, the tears of their mothers, who finally managed to embrace their sons. Even those who did not wait for their loved ones from the front gave in to general joy. But three years later the festival was ordered to forget: huge destruction required a full laying of the forces, and there was no time for celebrating. Only seventeen years later, in 1965, May 9 was again recognized as a holiday. This has been going on for half a century - fifty years. And every year we personally confess our love to winners or write a letter of gratitude to the veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

Of course, I would like to ask all the inhabitants of the Earth to remember the people who passed the war, not only on this great day - Victory Day. And to express gratitude to the veterans every day and hour for the peaceful sky, for the opportunity to live freely and peacefully, educate their children and see happy smiles on their faces.

Write a letter of gratitude to the veteran and give it to an unfamiliar grandfather, who looks like a tear from the eyes that carries flowers to the grave of an unknown soldier. At the moment when his eyes touch the lines, he will know that he did not just fight so that his victory is really important for all people.

Take care of our veterans - they are very few!
