Furniture ties - a small mechanism like self-tapping screws, which is used in furniture production. Of course, without them you can install furniture (with the use of bolts), but here you need to take into account the two advantages of screeds. First, unlike self-tapping screws, furniture fittings fastened with such mechanisms will look much more aesthetic, without any signs of fastening.
And secondly, bolts and screws have a rather limited use, which can not be said about furniture ties that can be mounted in any kind of furniture, even in the angular variant. To date, the most progressive solution in the field of fittings is the eccentric coupler. So, let's look at its main advantages and disadvantages.

Among the disadvantages of this kind of screeds, it is possible to single out its high cost, which several times exceeds the price indexes of bolts and screws. The second disadvantage is that eccentric furniture ties do not tolerate miscalculations. If at the factory mechanisms accurately determine all distances, then at home, such a coupler can spoil all furniture if the miscalculation was 5 or more millimeters.

In general, despite the shortcomings, we can say with confidence that eccentric furniture ties are the most reliable and safe kind of furniture assembly, which also positively affects the design of objects.
