Foundation blocks: features of use

The foundation of any building belongs to the most important constructive elements of modern buildings. Today, for their erection, foundation blocks are widely used. In hollow types of products cavities are formed, which can be filled with various materials, for example, heat insulation. These foundation blocks are much lighter than solid ones and are used to build the foundation of a structure in cases where other types of materials are difficult to use because of the large mass (under special geological conditions).

The main material for the production of foundation blocks is heavy silicate concrete or expanded clay. During installation, they are laid on a cushion specially prepared for the arrangement of the base of the house, which consists of a cement slurry with sand.

The use of foundation blocks for construction has many advantages over conventional technology, when concrete is poured into the formwork with a pre-installed grid of reinforcement.

First, the finished object is delivered to the building site for the construction of a future foundation, and there is no need to expect hardening of concrete.

Due to the wide variety of materials and structures from which the foundation blocks are made (sizes can be different), they can be used in different climatic zones, geological conditions, as well as for the erection of any structures. In addition, the use of blocks is not limited only to the construction of the foundation, they can also be used for the construction of walls.

Concrete foundation blocks can have a long service life (more than 150 years), they can be used several times. They allow you to quickly build the base of the building and other building structures. Since the quality of raw materials and finished materials are checked in the factory, you can be sure that the construction will be reliable. Due to the ability of reinforced concrete products to withstand large temperature differences, they can be used in different climatic zones.
