- type of bait.
First, offset hooks should be of such length to not interfere with the game of vibro-worms or twisters during wiring. This is important: too long offsetnik will make the bait "wooden", besides it is able to stretch it very much. If you install a small hook, it will not affect the game, no twisters or vibro-wavers. But it is better to find the optimal ratio. To perfectly match the hook and bait, buy them better together. Secondly, the height of the tackle. It is crucial when catching silicone baits. If it is greater than the thickness of the vibrotail, the stinger will have to be taken out. Non-engaging bait in this case will not work. In such situations, soft silicone with a special slit in the body is used. It is necessary in order to facilitate the process of passing the hook. This furrow serves as a pocket in which the sting hides. So the bait will easily slide among the aquatic vegetation and snags, without hitching for them. This is useful when wiring is carried out in difficult conditions, for example near poplets and in cluttered places.
How to equip the offset hook?
It is not so easy to do the offset printing correctly. But on this depends the quality of the game of bait during the wiring. So, how to put on the hook? Take a soft bait. The sting is passed through the front of the twister by 0.8 - 1 cm. The hook must pass through the silicone to the ear. After that we adjust it to the body and roughly mark the place of puncture. Then we take the stinger out. If the bait has a clearly marked back, then it should come out from the side of the belly of an artificial fish. Of course, this is not the only way to pass the hook. But it can be called classic. Such equipment is very strong and reliable. At the same time, the quality of the game of bait in water does not suffer.
Do I need a sinker when equipping the offset hook?
There is no unanimity here. Probably, that is why there are as many as three options for equipping the offset printer. The first method does not imply the use of any sinkers. The bait is attached immediately to the leash. The second, or hinged rigging, is performed with a sinker, best of all - equipped with special ears. There are many variations of this method. The third option is the method where the offset hooks are at a certain distance from the sinker. This allows the bait to play freely in the water. All three ways have their advantages and disadvantages. Fisherman can choose for himself the best option. In general, catching an offset hook is always more practical and efficient.
