Fenistil gel: instructions

"Fenistil" is a gel intended for external use, homogeneous (uniform), clear, colorless or with a weak opalescent (milky) shade, practically odorless. The active ingredient is dimethindene maleate. Auxiliary ingredients: carbomer, purified water, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol.

"Fenistil" gel instruction refers to blockers of histamine receptors-H1. The drug has antipruritic, anti-allergic effect. The drug is able to reduce the high capillary permeability against allergic reactions. When applied to the skin, it reduces irritation and itching. "Fenistil" gel has a pronounced local anesthetic effect. The drug blocks the effect of kinin, with a slight anticholinergic effect. Due to its gel basis, "Fenistil" starts to act after a few minutes. The maximum impact is achieved in one to four hours. The drug penetrates well into the skin.
