Eyegon Targarien - the founder of the dynasty of the kings of Västerås

Eyegon Targarien, who was nicknamed the Conqueror, is a fictional character in the series of books by the notorious American writer George Martin "The Song of Ice and Fire" or, as it is often called, "The Song of Ice and Fire." In the book universe, Aegon became the founder of the dynasty of the kings of Västerås.

short biography

From the beginning, the Targariens were one of the most powerful aristocratic families of the ancient empire of Esso. As a result of the eruption of the volcano under the name of the Rock of Valiria, Essos ceased to exist, but Eyegon Targarien collected the remnants of the troops and, taking with him three dragons, invaded the territory of Västerås.

Soon he managed to conquer six kingdoms. He sat down on the Iron Throne, which became the symbol of the new power, proclaiming himself the sole ruler. He also became the founder of a single capital - the city of Krasnaya Gavan, where he built the Red Castle. In addition, he founded the personal guard of the monarch - the Royal Guard and established the office of the right hand of the king.

Eyegon Targarien was in power in 6 of the 7 kingdoms of Vasteras (Dorn did not submit to him, but joined after 200 years) for about forty years.

The series "Game of Thrones". Aegon Targarien

Fans of the series are well aware of this character, but people who are poorly informed about the events occurring in it, it will be difficult to understand who it is. By the way, in the "Game of Thrones" Aigon is not, but in the film very often his name and events related to him are mentioned.

The appearance of this hero within the cult series that has already become a cult takes place in the form of legends and stories about his conquests, which now and then can be heard from the mouths of different characters. It should be noted that the events of the series "The Game of Thrones" occur approximately three hundred years after the conquests of Aegon.

However, among his characters there are some descendants of the famous ruler of Västerås. In the first season there are two representatives of the Targarien dynasty: Wieseris and his young sister Deeneris. Wieseris soon dies, so his sister becomes the only surviving member of the family.

It aims to restore the power of the Targariens in the territory of Västerås, and therefore begins to gather troops for the invasion. An excellent help in this for her is that she has three dragons.

Since there is no Aegon Targarien in the series, the actor did not look for his role, but in the future it may appear as a cameo, so there is a possibility that the audience will be able to see it personally.

The Kind of Targariens

In the series of books by D. Martin "Song of Ice and Fire", on which the TV series "The Game of Thrones" was shot, 5 novels. In none of them does Aegon Targarien act as an acting character, but is often mentioned.

This kind had a slightly strange and wild tradition, however, quite normal for medieval society. They concluded marriages and gave birth to children only from their relatives. This was done to maintain the purity of blood.

Eygon Targarien was married to two of his sisters: Vishenie and Reyenis. Sisters-wives produced him two sons: Einis and Meigor, who sat on the throne after the death of his father. King Maigor, who became the third ruler, ascended the Iron Throne after his elder brother, entered the history of Västerås as one of the most cruel and ruthless rulers, therefore he was nicknamed the Cruel.

The reign of his sons was a relatively calm period in the history of Västerås, when nothing particularly remarkable happened.

Conclusion

The Pentateuch of D. Martin is considered today one of the best creations in the fantasy genre, and the popularity of the series, shot on them, you can add legends. It is based on the first novel. In total, as it was said, in the series, together with the work, which is called "The Game of Thrones", 5 books, they are among the most sold today.

Eygon Targarien, though not really an acting hero of any of these books, but still his indirect appearances and the general significance for the development of the plot are very important. George Martin himself does not rule out the possibility of writing a prehistory for his pentology, where, perhaps, the story of Eygon and his legendary conquests will be narrated.

Fans of the creativity of the writer and the series will be completely ecstatic, if such a prequel to their favorite works still appear, but for now it remains only to hope for it.
