The drug "Eucabal" (balm) is an emulsion intended for external use or inhalation. The medicine is produced in vials, each of which contains 100 g of emulsion. The main active substance of the drug is the oil of eucalyptus leaves and pine needles.

Of course, in the production of the medicine, auxiliary components are also used, including purified water, macrogol stearate, glycerin monostearate, citric acid monohydrate, trometamol and cytostearyl alcohol.

What are the properties of the drug?

The medicine "Evcabal" is a balm with a lot of valuable properties. Essential oils of eucalyptus and pine provide dilution and dissolution of bronchial secretions. In addition, the drug accelerates the process of excretion of phlegm with epithelial tissues. It is also proved that the active substances of the drug have anti-inflammatory properties.

Alpha-pinene, contained in the needle, improves blood microcirculation, and also affects the central nervous system, reducing spasm of the bronchi and facilitating breathing. Essential oils have weakly expressed antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties.

During inhalations, the drug enters directly into the tissues of the respiratory system. If it is an external application, the active components penetrate the skin into the total bloodstream and are carried to different organs, including the lungs.

  • For starters it is worth mentioning about hypersensitivity - before using it is necessary to get acquainted with the composition of the medicine;

  • The medicine has age limits - it is not recommended for use in the treatment of children up to two months of age (inhalations do not take up to 5 years);
  • Apply the product to the skin of the face (for example, in the nose) to children under 2 years of age;
  • Do not use the emulsion in cases where there are scratches, wounds, ulcers and other damage to the skin on the skin;
  • The drug is not applied to mucous membranes;
  • Baths with emulsion are contraindicated in acute infectious diseases, severe fever, pathologies of the cardiovascular system, including arrhythmia, angina pectoris, hypertension, heart failure;
  • To date, there is no data on the possible consequences of using the drug during pregnancy and lactation, but breastfeeding should not be applied to the skin of the breast; The decision on whether to use the emulsion during the bearing of the child is made by the attending physician, based on the potential benefit for the patient.
